Determination of sex after topping

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by dabs710, Sep 5, 2017.

  1. I've heard you can do this in veg, that after you top if you zoom in on some parts with some kinda scope you can see the pre-flowers.

    Is this true, anyone confirm?

  2. It's usually around 6 weeks they show sex. If you check the nodes, there's little flaps, and behind that is the sex . Either 2 white pistols, or a sac looking kinda thing. You don't have to top or anything but when you top it makes it easier to look between the flap and the plant

  3. Like so, but don't mistake the flaps for the pistills. Every plant will gave those 2 little flaps on the internodes. The sex is what's behind those 2 little flaps .[IMG]

  4. Interesting I think I saw pre-flowers late veg last time, I guess I was under some false impression that topping could trigger pre-flowers, but I suppose development is the main factor here.
