Hi. I'm filming a movie which I've almost completed in writing over the next month+. In the course of the film, much marijuana smoke will be inhaled. Is there any way to tell that it's marijuana smoke on film? As I plan to promote the film and to submit it where independent films are shown. Should we smoke legal herb or would it even be necessary to take such precautions? Thanks to all who respond.
Yeah, if whoever inhales the smoke runs off-screen for a second and comes back chuggin a 2 liter or with his head in a bag of Doritos, your ass is busted.
i wouldnt do it i have a film of me and my buddies smoking herd. even if you dont show yourself taking a hit people are going to know by the way you act. i would just smoke cigs and act high you know see ya
there is no way to tell the difference between marijuana smoke and cigarrete smoke, no. the only way you would be caught is if your film is of a bunch of red eyed, rambling droopy idiots... =)
well i know that if there's a black background and light coming from somewhere, that cigarette smoke appears to be blue.. i don't know if this is true with marijuana smoke though.. a dead givaway might be exhaling HUGE hits though, as few smokers inhale that much for their fix..
Are you worried about legal trouble? Don't be. Even if a cop was watching your movie and actually gave a shit and wanted to try to do something about it, he couldn't. There is no way they'll be able to prove that it's marijuana smoke.
ok, just so I'm clear.... in your movie, the characters are smoking pot, and you want them to actually be smoking pot? it should be possible, but I'd have some fake bud that looks similiar and have a good story in case someone takes undue interest...
yeah keep somethings a secret , no opened use some secret compositions that means to the reality i mean ironic subjects are always okay in a movie , coz your basic subject is "marijuana"
