Dermal Punching

  1. Hey so I'm thinking of getting my lobes dermal punched to a two gauge. I was just wondering if any of you guys knew the pros and cons of dermal punching?

  2. check out bmezine.com i'm sure they have artcles about it.

  3. Pros: none, maybe having a quickly gauged ear is a pro
Con: Skin will never close down, you have to walk around with a big ass hole in your ear forever

Just stretch like everybody else does. It only took me 3 months or so to go from a 12 to a 00

  4. If I peirce a four gauge and then taper to a two will it go back then?

  5. No, because to be "pierced" at a 4g it would still be a dermal punch.

I think the largest needle they can pierce you with (in the traditional sense of the word) is a 10 or an 8. Anything larger than that requires a chunk of skin to be punched out.

Whatever size you get it punched at is the size you're going to have to live with for the rest of your life. It's literally just like putting a hole punch up to your ear and squeezing. If you stretch properly, and keep your earlobes moisturized, the hole will always close down (provided you don't go any further than a 00).
