Derealization is desirable?

Discussion in 'Cannabis Consumption Q&A & Tips' started by Caleb_Nash, Jul 30, 2013.

  1. So I was reading about weed and it's effects on Wikipedia for a school thing. I've had a few panics attacks that have included serious derealization and I found it really scary. But on wikipedia it said Derealization is often a DESIRABLE effects of weed, achieved with high doses. Does anybody feel it and enjoy it? And the high doses part.. I get it pretty much every time I smoke weed, am I smoking too much?

    Thanks

  2. Some people want to be numbed from reality. I find lower doses and certain strains dont do it as much. Also panic attacks cause derealization, but derealization can trigger panic. =/

  3. I think it is but I've never had a panic attack or anything so it's always been an enlightening time

  4. Lol my entire personality is derealized soooo lol I don't mind it

  5. it happens to me when im sober and am going through a real bad stretch of depression, ill just occasionaly feel disconnected and nothing seems "real"

  6. I got that derealization shit once for 5 minutes when I was 17 or something, didn't even smoke back then. Felt like a low blood pressure thing or something. Haven't had it since, but it was scary as fucking fuck.

  7. I actually really enjoy it but i've had much more intense experiences than derealization like ego death. Once you've felt that derealization is like that roller coaster for little kids at the county fair . It's all in how you experience it. If you know nothing bad will happen from it you can let go and enjoy all of weeds effects. I'm not saying i'm perfect i struggled with anxiety while high for a few months and almost quit because of it but i got through it and taught myself how to enjoy it. That's all you gotta do.
