  1. I have horner syndrome and although I dont get them it can lead to migrains. Guy said horner syndrom is not on the list and anyone can come it and say they have migrains. Said I need proof I am perscribed something and tell him it is not working. I am perscribed high blood pressure meds. I wonder if I can go back and show him my script bottles. Anyone can go to the regular dr and say they have migrains also. I dont get it. He is a dr right. I had an appointment. Why not perscribe me meds right then and there. Pissed.

  2. Get your butt to Cali you can have what you want in an hour for $60. (40 for rec and 20 on weed)

  3. That's is some bullshit that why I think this "medical" is a joke I understand people need it but it should not be somthing we even have to get a script for..

  4. Yea, well they aint making any money denying me.  Now I have to go to the dr.  try and get a script for something for migraines and go back and show him.  what a joke.  I have a legitimate situation while most I know dont and they have their cards.  At least I did not have to pay them the $60 up front.

  5. You need to find a more compassionate doctor.

My regular doctor told me I can have all the cannabis I want in edible form. We talked about it.

  6. Unfortunately, many medical conditions & ailments that cannabis helps with aren't accepted by states. Also, some states are more lenient than others. Some states accept intractable pain, but if you don't have the records to prove this to satisfy a legitimate medical professional who is capable of recommending cannabis, then you're probably SOL. Some doctors/nurse practitioners up here have had charges filed against them and their medical licenses revoked for writing "too many" recommendations (amongst other things), so they have something to lose too by writing you a recommendation if you haven't met the requirements for them to comfortably recommend cannabis for you.

The doctor who recommended medical cannabis for me first tried to help my condition(s) with pharmaceutical medications. They didnt work and one actually had me bleeding internally, so I stopped taking that one almost immediately. After quite a few attempts to resolve the situation with "conventional" medicine, he actually approached me about medical cannabis as I didn't even know he was accepting of cannabis' medical efficacy. Was a pleasant surprise as well as my insurance covers the doctor's visits annually to renew my authorization.

If you don't see your doctor regularly and go to one of these clinics that doctors travel around to different areas specifically for cannabis authorizations, you need to be aware that if you happen to get arrested anyway for possession, you'll want a doctor that will actually show up in court and know what he's talking about in regard to your medical condition. Those that get authorizations with no records on the medical issue you have or other treatments that were attempted for said medical issue and without a doctor fully understanding your situation and explaining in court (if called upon), the authorization probably won't save you from drug charges...at least it's that way here in Washington State.

Still, a lot of law enforcement officers don't want to deal with the paperwork in writing someone up who has an authorization so long as they're not being stupid about it and smoking on a busy sidewalk in town, selling to non-medical patients, or consuming while operating a vehicle right before being pulled over, odds are that you won't have any issues.

I hope that if cannabis helps your condition, you're able to get a recommendation from a doctor that won't no-show you if you ever get in trouble.

  7. I know the feels, homie. Everyone has a card here but me and I've tried. I'm ready to move to Cali!

  8. If you have high blood pressure, I would think that may be a qualifying factor? One of the questions doctors will ask is if you have low blood pressure, because using cannabis with low blood pressure usually makes people faint. So, it's not a practical medicine...

Not sure what state you're in though. If there's a qualifying list, that's the place to start! Or, yeah, look for another doctor!

  9. Hmmm, don't remember where I saw it, but I believe I've read in the past that cannabis can increase your blood pressure. Don't quote me on that though as I'm not 100% certain. Will browse around in a bit and see what I can find.

  10. Increases it till your a daily user or more frequent user, then it lowers it. I had higher bp before becoming a daily toker.

  11. Certain terpenes can increase the likilhood you'll experience your heart rate and pressure going up, generally in sativas, but I also think it's in part from people holding in their hit, coughing up a storm and using the wrong medicine. The ones that make you feel racy are def a no go! However, from the way I understand it, everyone with low bp is excluded from smoking, because more often the result is lowered bp. There are so many options out there, and, in general, cannabis is known to lower pressure, such as with glaucoma - but, again, it's about the right strain, indicas, not just saying ok, it's weed, make it work! A qualifying doctor should appreciate knowing the difference, at least Id hope!
