Democrats: Who can unseat Trump?

Discussion in 'Politics' started by VikingToker, Jul 5, 2018.

  1. You are on your high horse and claiming others have a high opinion of themselves.
I am not vain, nor do I think myself above others.
I do have a good background of travel, experiences and a first hand look at some worldy actions and foreign objectives. There is no honor in falling for your bait, nor your arrogant terminology.

Guess what? The driving factor is Trump, his poor decisions, his greed, and his lies.

  2. It's kinda funny. The left shit talks Trump all the time and their rallies are based on doing the opposite of what Trump is doing, literally, and it is working. Bernie Sanders vids on Facebook get millions of views, and all he ever does it talk talking points against Trump.

So I think highlighting Trumps shittery, combined with conjuring a progressive plan of action against what Trump and the admin are doing, is a way to victory in it's own right.

Just one smaller example, Sanders shit talks Trump, Ocasio Cortez enacts the plan and mobilizes it, she wins.

  3. I strongly disagree. I find you to be more similar to Trump than so many other blades, here, especially when it comes to your inability to self-reflect. Just my opinion, and you can wipe your ass with it, but the way you've responded to my question and where we are now simply demonstrates that you are not particularly honorable.

I never was on a high horse - between the two of us, I'm the one who demonstrated the ability to criticize himself, in front of someone who clearly doesn't like me. And accurately so. You, however...

Would you at least agree to being extremely partisan towards the left?

  4. And how is shitting on Trump different from what was going on during the election? And how did that turn out?

  5. I do not dislike you and some things you have said do resonate.
I do dislike your arrogance though. You think you can analyze others through your limited experience.
You have been very baiting in your choice of words and actions towards me and my posts, it isn't hard to see.
That is one reason I won't seriously engage you.

  6. You're right, it is kinda funny, have you heard her talk? And she has a degree in economics... Her responses to simple questions are pretty telling.

  7. I think your degree in nothing disqualifies you from an opinion. I question whether or not you actually listen to her platform, or just ear buzz it and dismiss it as socialism.

  8. Have you contributed to where we are now?

  9. There needs to be a combination of directly pointing out the atrocious policy put in place by Trump, and of taking the highroad and being civil in their own presentation. If you don't directly speak on your opponent, the other side will.

  10. What weaknesses does Ocasio-Ortez display? Is there anything where one could say she is lacking in knowledge?

  11. I questions why you think you know who and what I am, and why you are making this personal, did I say something that offended you? Let's stay on topic.

  12. Of course, we have the ability to have conversation at elections of a higher level, but that is not the game that the corporatists want to play right now. They do not want a population that is intrigued and properly engaged with adult like, proper debate. They want blame game low level banter bullying on shitty talking points that gets people with average or below- IQ's riled up.

  13. Well, this is a changed statement, now you've introduced the second half of this. I think Trump does a fine job of shitting all over himself - and yet, there is almost no cohesive Democratic strategy or platform, not to speak of viable contender(s).

Reminding you that I'm a social democrat, (because I seem to have to to avoid your anger), could it be possible that we're putting too many eggs in one basket, and placing too many hopes on a candidate who is largely untested?

  14. Which candidate? Sorry I only started reading this from the most recent of pages.

Oh Cortez right? I believe she should be given the opportunity to learn, grow, and expand, because her platform is based on solid ideology from more tried and tested people.

  15. Ocasio-Ortez

  16. OMFG this is the most ignorant thing i've read in a long long time!!!! You want to put a 29 yr old in office to learn and grow into a job she clearly isn't qualified for because she follows a ideology that has killed over 100,000,000 million people in the last 100 years. You my friend are a amazing person lololololol

  17. Is it fair of me to deduce that when you say she should be given the opportunity to grow and learn, that she has something to learn - AKA - there is something she doesn't know?

Could there be a chance that this ideology she presents isn't so solid? Breaking from my socratic line for a second, I'm Norwegian, I live in Denmark rn, and have worked in the public sector in Norway (extensively) as well as the private sector in both countries. I have solid knowledge and understanding of my own system, it's economics, it's taxation, it's social systems, it's civic orders, it's history, as it is the history of my culture

    - one that has been hijacked and corrupted in order to appeal to the masses in America. Bread and games, people love the free shit.

Returning to the socratic line - If I told you that Sanders has misled you about the realities in countries like mine - which he and all the US far left uses as examples of success - would you look into it, thoroughly, or would you denounce me as some right-winger in disguise? As you did when I criticized Sanders in our previous engagement.

  18. Nothing is certain with these mealy mouthed media "moderators" that are afraid to stand up and tell the despot to leave the podium until he can debate in a respectful tone like a grown man... anyone can choke... Obama had a debate that he appeared to be out there in the ozone but came back on his feet clear as a bell... everyone has off days...

There will be several contenders.. remains to be seen which one ends up at the top of the ticket and final debates.

  19. i've heard her talk & i've heard DJT shout & spout lies, accusations not based on reality, off the top BS, hasn't a clue about economics, only thing he knows is intimidation by name calling and pointing fingers as if anyone and everyone not on board the Dump train... as if they all are evil and at fault America is not "great" by his and the white supremacists distorted definition...

At least she talks simple horse sense and you don't need a gobbely gook decoding ring to understand wtf she said...

  20. Exactly, hence why Avenatti is not your guy. He's just an expression of frustrated defiance against Trump - you'll take anyone who speaks ill of him. He's an opportunist, playing on your emotions of anger, and I know you're smart enough to recognize it, svedka, fun as it is to talk shit about the enemy.

Someone may arrive and be the same hurricane Trump was in 2016. Unexpected and unstoppable. I hope for it. And I'll repeat, lest someone say I have nothing but critique and no solution, here is the hero you don't deserve:

If Americans demanded Brian "The Greatest Living American" Stann abandon his good and well-earned life of peace to serve his great nation one more time, he would wipe the floor with Trump. No competition - he's the perfectly-constructed antidote, there is no Trump supporter who would not prefer Stann over the orange king, and a great deal of left-leaners, be they Democrats or the more extreme, would see him as a man worth following. If the goal is to be rid of Trump, it is this kind of candidate one must field. He's the perfect appeal to the drooling, late-night-TV-watching masses as well as the intelligent and diligent observers. There is your guaranteed candidate to victory - one who would bring honor back to American politics.
There may be others, but he is an incredibly strong contender, and draws up the blueprint for what kind of a man or woman you need.

What party he would run for does not matter, I think. What matters is returning the state of American discourse to civility worthy of a democracy (rather than a schoolyard). There's too much at stake to continue to behave like surly babies

That said, I'm glad to see that candidates are at least being sought out. A step in the right direction! Trump won't defeat himself, and the role he played as the big fuck-you to the establishment and the hateful left-wingers has run it's course.

A peacemaker is the right stereotype, now, one who's integrity and love of country is beyond question

Edit: And the attribute you so well phrased - I will seek up the right wording, as it was excellent - "a history of philanthopical behaviour" or something similar. I have to look it up, it was an excellent line
