Defoliation

  1. i know this is a controversial topic. Some don’t take any leaves unless yellowed or dead. Some take a few here and there, and some give a good haircut a couple times throughout the grow.

Here I have a GG4XWW that is just a bush compared to the other two, obviously a different pheno.

She’s still pretty thick with branching after a heavy defoliation. Quite a pile of leaves for such a small plant. I’ll let this grow out for a couple weeks to see how she fills in, but I’ll probably have to take some of the lower branches that just won’t have enough room to fill in. I’ll just clone them and give them to my buddies to throw outdoors.

  2. with these scrawny plants I'd go the former

'Some don’t take any leaves unless yellowed or dead. '

    good luck

  3. Way too bushy for that. Her sisters had very little defoliation as they grew more leggy. This one grew like a hedge. They’re all in Flower now so we’ll see how they turn out.

  5. Here is a bud shot from the plant in this thread. It’s also middle right in the pic below with a main cola sticking up a bit taller
