Deficiency or nute burn? Please help!!

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by thomas11111, May 9, 2011.

  1. About 3 days ago I started seeing signs of what I thought was nute burn. A couple of days prior to that I fed for the first time with 1/4 the recommended dose. It started on the lower leaves so I flushed with 1 gallon of water per gallon of medium. Since then the problem has gotten worse and is working it's way up the sets of leaves. I guess my question is if already flushed should it keep moving up the sets of leaves? If not it must be a deficiency correct? I'm affraid to feed for deficiency for the fear of burning them more. I have Blue Mountain Organics on the way and all I have right now is shitty miracle grow 20-20-20. I'm affraid to use it again if it is burn I don't want to fuck them up. Someone please give me guidance. I am a newbie and this is my first grow so I am at a loss. I've looked up pics on the web of burn and deficiency and they all look the same to me. They don't seem to be stunted at all. Still putting on new growth.I have a bunch of pics but they aren't as clear as I would like them to be since the only camera I have is my phone cam.

  2. the rust won't go away. look at the newest growth, if it looks healthy, you fixed it.

  3. It does resemble nutrient burn but if you flushed and it's gotten worse then it's likely a deficiency. I'd start by giving them extra P & Ca. Bone Meal would work well.

  4. Firstly calm down overall your plants look good a little brown like that is nothing to get crazy over.

Stop using MG wait for your stuff to come in. If you think its a over nute issue you can just give half the recommended amount. On nutes its much better to be conservative then over do it. Overdoing it you can kill them and not recover from it if its bad.

Just let them do there thing to see.
