hi there, I'm running a basic DWC in a 5 gal bucket in my closet. Everything seems to be going ok, except my water temp is up there around 70/75. Temp in the closet is about the same. Any ideas on how i can lower that temp? Perhaps a whole in the side to let out some of the hot air in the bucket? Anything would be appreciated.
I have seen some post where guys running DWC are dropping frozen water bottles in their resivors to lower temps.
is your bucket wrapped in anything to reflect light? if so that should help keep it coolish ive also seen the frozen water bottles but they dont last very long...ive also seen people have a fan just to blow on the DWC bucket good luck
Use cardboard and a space blanket to make a separate chamber for your res. The space blanket will reflect heat and light back up into your cab, keeping your res several degrees cooler. Add ventilation to the bottom chamber for even more cooling. -Loki
