He truly inspired angsty teens everywhere to vent about how they hate their parents. True genius. The guitar riff to Walk is the most technical guitar part in music ever. He made drop d tuning cool and a way to bypass actually coming up with creative riffs. Truly inspiring!

The first time I ever went to the titty bar, I went to The Clubhouse here in Dallas. Vinnie and Dime are/were part owners. So as the night is wearing on I see a dude that looks like Sully from Godsmack sitting next to a guy who looked like Jerry Cantrell. So Im flippin and then I see dime and vinnie sitting with them. So like a dumbass, I walk over and offer vinnie a coors light. Dime interrupts and says vinnie don't drink nuthin but sky vodka tonight! So Im a little bummed that i thought I was told off, and as I start to apologize and turn, dime grabs my arm and says, so if vodkas your thing have a drink. He took a huge swig from the vodka bottle and handed it over. I drunk up and said my thank yous and im such a fan. Walked back to my table, told my guys what happened and always love sharing that story. If you live in around dallas and you went to enough concerts, you probably know a story a lot like this. Dime loved everyone he met. He seemed to be a really good person. To this day, that moment sticks in my head vividly. To him, it was a Sunday night(half price lap dances.)

Its such a shame this hero was taken from us. Me and my friends are heavily inspiried by dime in our music. We party all the time, and make the best of all. When we get into discussions of dime its not only like a guitarist was taken from us, but as if one of us died. Dime never did anything to anyone. A true hero, a great man, the king. May there be a stage in heaven for you.

I'm not hearing any kids talking. As far as I can tell everyone of us is an adult that misses someone who influenced us. If you didn't like his playing, I can't change your opinion. But if you go to a thread dedicated to someone just to bag on that person, you indeed are a very sad person. I really feel bad for you. People are sharing personal experiences. He was more than a musician. He had charities he worked with and even had a camp for children. He was someone's brother, son, spouse, and indeed a hero to the people lucky enough to meet him. You don't have to like him, but your lack of respect for the deceased and your fellow community members says a lot. No need to argue with me. Basic communication and social skills are not much to ask.
