Here in Brazil, they have finally Decriminalized marijuana ( sentences like small fees/community service) if you get caught smoking first time, you go to police station and sign a paper and then you are free to go, but its still illegal. The law isnt much enforced, so theres not much trouble. But we are still in pursue of full legalization, basically in the city its kinda messed to smoke in busy streets, but in the beach its like the most normal thing you would do and its totally accepted, some beaches are known for its high cannabis usage ( no pun) Now we have a bigger problem than ever, drug traffic... drug traffic brings crime, violence, robberies and etc.. which is why some people are actually in pursue of legalization of ALL drugs ( politicians too, such as the Governor of the State of Rio de Janeiro) Even being such a pseudo-legalized country, Im 100% sure that full legalization won't go through because of fear of the drug-policy applied in the States (we are neighbors to Colombia), all drug exports to europe from south america basically gets through brazil before gettin to Europe. Here are some videos, so some people can have an idea.. this one is the edited video with interviews and such: *I think this one is made by MTV* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szQQtXAtw_8 this is a full video of the whole march for legalization. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhJNA1JYhoc This one is real footage of Federal cops burning 9 TONS of canabis and some goofy reporters do a interview.... as you will see cops here are pretty much normal people and they let them even play around the weed and film and such. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qaYe9o1tAM&mode=related&search= Weed in Brazil in so abundant that its virtually impossible to be something legal.. literally it grows anywhere you put a seed (hot climate). 1 kg (2.2 lbs) can be bought for as little as 400 reais ( 205 dol) for medium weed, or as high as 1500 reais ( 700 dol) 1kg (2.2lbs) for the real good stuff. Almost 95% of the market is dominated by strong Sativa.. and ive literally only found to buy Indica ONCE, bought it.. wasnt too happy with it (too sleepy and the usual couch lock). So any effort done in the states pro-legalization is good for the world as in whole, and just to tell you you guys have been doing a good job, but there are still milestones to reach. Lael
