I'm really trying to find a ballast and light system that is HPS/MH switchable preferably 400w for a low budget. I narrowed it down to these two: [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Electronic-Switchable-Hydroponic-Pressure-GYO2002/dp/B002J7PYSU]Amazon.com: 400 Watt Electronic Switchable Ballast Hydroponic Grow Lamp System with Metal Halide and High Pressure Sodium HPS Light Bulbs, Cord + Hanger, GYO2002: Patio, Lawn & Garden[/ame] Sunlight Supply: SUN SYSTEM® 2 SWITCHABLE MH/HPS 400W 120V - MOGUL BASE [900504] - Complete Systems - Lighting Systems - Discount Specialty Farm, Greenhouse & Garden Supply Store - Horticulture Source With the first one, I'll at least be able to make a cool tube to manage with the heat, but the second one looks like it'll hold up better, but managing with the heat wouldn't be possible, would it? Or should I buy just a switchable ballast such as this Hydroponics Supplies, Hydroponics Experts, Cap Controllers, Grow Lights and then build my own light/reflector setup with a cool tube? Any input of any sort would be greatly appreciated.
to be honest mate they both look awesome - wish i had money to buy either gonna have to make do with my 250W HPS.
ive got the gyro one too and i ran the mh under veg continuously for about a month and a half and never had any heat issues
Hi All, New to this site - not new to herb... just learning about induction lighting - can get a 200W 5000K for around $150. Is Induction lighting good to use for growing? Seems like it would be and it doesn't generate a lot of heat - just looking for some input. Thanks
