decent vaporizer designs for the bored stoner

I'm wondering what people have created/thought up an so forth so lets hear what you got.

Thus far these ideas have been used to some effect..


On a scale of 1-5 we have a few catagories...

Easy of use
Clean Up
Flavor
Smoothness

I'll note each by the first letter...

Soldering Irons (BC Vaproizers and diy dome types)

E - 5
C - 2
F - 1
S - 2

All in all these suck unless done exactly right... so the fact that you toss some bud in a cup and sit around doesn't make up for the taste.


Next we have the same soldering iron but with a twist..

You have the iron and a tube around it with a 'whip' I'm sure many have seen a Vapor Doc or similar unit so I'll just skip it.

After that you have ceramic elements that are suppose to go into a table top temp controlled box...same as the doc but 'glass' quality instead of exposed wire.

Healthly as far as I can tell but resigned to whip based vaporizers (if you add a chamber and remove the tube from the whip it's alot safer and the plastic doesn't heat up)

for the metal and ceramic models of diy versons of this convection type it usually tastes great if you dial in right and inhale slowly..

Then you have light bulbs of all types...high heat low wattage halogens then every day ones

These can be used in a number of ways.... go nuts.
