decarboxylating bud

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by TheIckyGreen, Nov 26, 2010.

  1. Say i want to decarboxlate my bud, would it overpower my home with the smell of weed? I dont live alone is why im wondering.

  2. YEs most likely, unless you do it in small amounts in the microwaves at convienient times.

  3. So in the microwave I should be okay?
    Thanks for the help :)

  4. No. It doesn't overpower anything. The smell is about equivalent to a vaporizer. It is mild and faint in comparison to burned bud. It probably will not be noticeable unless someone actually comes into the room where it is decarbin'

I did it last night and the smell wasn't noticeable at all unless I opened the over door and got kinda close to the weed...

  5. Be cautious because the smell has to go somewhere and it goes into your house. the aroma can go probably 13, feet at the most. ?

  6. Id say around 42 feet

  7. Microwave or oven? I'm talking microwave.

  8. I decarbed an 1/8 in the microwave. Almost no smell, just look at paelos thread about decarbing. If it burns in the microwave it will smell thou

  9. Bud never burns in the microwave from decarbing unless there is a contaminant in the bud causing it to set on fire. This happened to me for the first time today, less than 3cm nug was cherried and I just put it out and finished microwaving. There mustve been something that didnt belong there.
