Decarbing Shatter

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by Purpleturtle91, Feb 9, 2019.

  1. Hello everyone,

I've never cooked with shatter before. What length of decarb time would you recommend? I usually do 40 min at 240 degrees for flower....

Any other things to consider when working with shatter? Thanks. You guys always know best.

  2. Shatter decarbs the same as flower.
The thc-a doesn't care whether it's concentrated or stuck to buds.

  3. Thanks, that's what I thought but wanted to save myself from a costly mistake. :)

  4. I decarb at 240F until all reaction/bubbling ceases. Usually that's an hour for me.

  5. Why You Should Decarboxylate Before Extracting?
Here is a really good read I just found that covers several aspects on Decarb and exactly why some methods work better then others.
