Decarb question

    Accidentally left an ounce in the oven for about 120 min @ 220*. Weed was slightly damp when I started. When I took it out, it was mostly brown, but still had a little green - very little. Still going to make my butter using my Mighty Fast Infusor machine as I’m not going to waste an ounce, but wondered if anyone else has done something similar.

    How does one accidentally leave weed in a oven for 2 hours instead of 40 minutes :confused_2::laughing:

    Asked my husband to turn the oven off when I heard the buzzer and he said he did. He turned the wrong oven off and left my weed baking.:poop::sad::bolt:

    I've done something similar and found the oil/butter not as potent but more sleepy, potentially due to a higher ratio of CBD/CBN:THC (as more THC is likely combusted at that temperature), but that's just a guess.

    I've also done something similar when I was testing different time/temp ratios for my oil and I found just like @neslex said it gains more of a CBD quality the longer after the recommended decarb time. (40 min @ 240) Yet, it will still work and isn't ruined.

    update: the chocolate no bake cookies were good! Not as strong as I've made in the past, but still good.
