Decarb process

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by Josh_aa371, Apr 8, 2016.

  1. Making edibles and have looked up the decade process and theirs always different temps and times on each website so what would you experienced edible cooks recommend? I'm using weed nugs to make the edibles not hash. Should I break up the bud first or decarb straight nugs?

  3. I only made butter one other time. I used a quarter of shake for one stick and it came out pretty nice, ended up making a dozen cookies and they were niiiiccee

  4. Break up the bud, definitely. Your material should be heated in the oven @ 240°F for 40 minutes for a full decarb. Lower temperature and/or less time will decarb only 2/3-3/4 but still gives you an active product. It's a matter of personal preference.

You should use an oven thermometer for accurate temperature control if you can. :)

  5. Just saying- PSam has done extensive testing to determine decarb temps and times, this is not just his opinion, but tested results. Good luck. Please let us know what you do and how it turns out. Oh, be sure and have fun!

I a agree with PSam and Joker 240F for 40 minutes.

I can honestly say that since my decarb was changed I no longer get anxious from sativa strains. I have seen where THCA is considered the cause of the anxiety.

Proper, complete decarb and no or almost no THCA

  7. Admittedly I've never tried it in the oven. But I gotta recommend the NOVA Decarboxylator - I probably wouldn't be messing with edibles if it wasn't for this
