  1. I love anything deathcore. Post bands you like that could be considered deathcore. It doesn't have to be strictly deathcore, but just able to be considered deathcore. Don't post stupid shit like chelsea grin though.

    My favorite song of the week right now is:
    [ame=]‪Born Of Osiris - Recreate‬‏ - YouTube[/ame][ame=""][/ame]
  2. [ame=]‪The Faceless - Pestilence‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

    It's more on the Technical Death Metal side but still is a really amazing band
  3. Suffokate > All

    [ame=]‪Suffokate - Slaughter your enemies‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]
  4. [ame=]‪lykathea aflame - bringer of elvenefris flame‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]
  5. [ame=]‪The Judas Syndrome "Thirteenth Star" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]
  6. [ame=]‪One More Victim - Mother of All Sins (2011 Release‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

    Just heard this album today, very good IMO.

    [ame=]‪The Contortionist Oscillator‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

    I love The Contortionist, if you ever get a chance to see them DO IT. They're fucking amazing live.

    [ame=]‪He The Deceiver - Mislead‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

    ^^^ These guys really remind me of Whitechapel

    [ame=]‪The Human Abstract - Faust‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

    New Human Abstract for those who haven't heard it... fucking amazing.

    Hospice, very underrated and unheard of. Too bad they fucking broke up. I will never get rid of their EP from my drive though, that's for sure.

    [ame=]‪Hospice - Subhuman‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

    This whole song is about cops. Opening line: "A badge doesn't make you a fucking man"

  8. I'll I can think about when I hear music of this genre is how much it would suck to be a drummer for one of these bands.

    "Okay, I want you to play straight eighth notes on the snare, on the upbeat of course, and then just get the kick drum on the downbeats - All of them. Play the hi-hat as straight sixteenth notes and just don't stop - OK? GO!"

  9. You'd be amazed at how easy some of them make it look.
  10. It's not that it's hard (even though it takes a lot of stamina that wasn't really my point) - it's just boring to play a beat like that for 3 minutes straight. But if other people can get satisfaction from that kind of drumming then that's cool.

  11. Well in that case I don't know what you're referring to, because none of the music like this that I listen to has the same or even similar drum beat for 3 minutes straight.
  12. +rep for The Contortionist...i fucking love them...they remind me of between the buried and me.

    Gotta post one of my favorite bands though:

    [ame=]‪Veil Of Maya - It's Torn Away‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

    Dont care too much for Burning the Masses but I love this song:

    [ame=]‪Burning The Masses "Nailgun Massacre"‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

    Yeah man, they have some softer parts like BTBAM, and that shit live is just straight up amazing.

    [ame=]‪The Contortionist - Primal Directive + Flourish + Oscillator (LIVE) AT MAVERICKS‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

    I was at this show, my buddy should've filmed the guitar more IMO but the vids aren't terrible. Doesn't do justice to the real performance though. I don't think you can see it in the video but they each have like 10+ pedals, noise suppressors and volume pedals, distortion and clean, they're just so tight and clean.

    That bassist was sick too, inspired me to learn some of their shit because I'm also a finger bassist.

    edit: Oh also check out Volumes if you haven't heard them, they were at that show too.

    They were short a vocalist and a guitarist, still sounded fucking good considering.

    By far the greatest.

  15. Sounds pretty cool, I just can never get into stuff like that when the vocalists range is so limited.. I didn't hear any highs in that song. Reminds me of ABACABB.
  16. I'm sorry but death metal/ death core is the shittiest shit ever. It just sounds awful. The only talent is the band. The vocals straight blooow. And don't tell me I don't know shit about music because I've been involved in production for a while. The shits just awful

  17. Rofl. You can know all you want about music, but everything is based on opinion so you can leave the thread if you don't like it.

    "the only talent is the band" LOL

    I mean the instruments you retard. Not the vocals. Anybody can scream like they're getting raped in the ass

    Hahahahaha you're funny man. I know exactly what you meant.

    Get yourself up on stage, grab the mic and "scream like you're getting raped in the ass" for an hour straight, and do it well. Btw, the crowd has to love your performance because you, as the vocalist, are the frontman.

    I'll say it again. If you don't like the music, then gtfo the thread lol it's really simple. Go make your own thread for your own music.

    edit: woah woah woah, I was unaware you listened to big ol' Mac Miller and Wiz Khalifa. Are you in the Taylor Gang too?

    wanna talk to me about talent.. I chuckled.
