Ladies and gents, today marks a sad day. Let us share a moment of quiet contemplation out of respect for the recently departed Kurt Vonnegut, one of the greatest American writers to put pen to page. http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/books/04/12/obit.vonnegut.ap/index.html
Euuuugh that sucks! I re-read Slaughter House 5 just a few months ago. An incredibly talented and inspired author. Maybe he's chilling on Tralfalmadore with Billy Pilgrim
Wow, I didn't hear about this until now. Excellent writer, one of my favorite authors, this is a real shame. Heh, just remembered he was in my signature. I really recommend Mother Night, Cat's Cradle, and of course, Slaughterhouse-five to any one that hasn't read them yet.
Just as long as he's not stuck in an eternal Slaughterhouse Five... poor man must have went through hell in Dresden.
Really they're all over the place? the same over and over. Is this a problem with my computer or yours?
I see them too Infinity, they've shown up in a bunch of your posts. I think it is the browser misunderstanding paragraph breaks with the emoticon. Anyways..... Truly sad to hear this. Vonnegut's works need no jusitification, but he really was an incredible writer and social critic.
Yea, maybe instead of making a new paragraph the showed up instead, anywho he was an excellent author, we had to read slaughter house five in school, and it was amazing, never did read cat's cradle, though I have it somewhere in my house..
him and hunter s. thompson go down in history as my two personal favorite writers that helped change the world they were living in. RIP kurt.
fuck i just found out reading this thread. i read slaughterhouse-five in high school and was really impressed by it. RIP Kurt Vonnegut
that wierd I've been thinking a lot about slaughter house 5 lately. I read it about 6 years ago, or maybe I read it in high school I don't remember
