bought this album when it came out years ago...after the first listen i liked a few songs, but i didnt think too highly of it....after a few listens i decided i REALLLYYYYYY liked what metallica created (i always give albums several listens all the way through, no matter who the artist is) fast forward to today, Death Magnetic is definitely one of my favorite Metallica albums ever released...there are so many groovy riffs and vocals, i love skating to this album. what do you think of it?
Fuck yeah, very thrashy and fast. Only thing is that James Hetfields voice is gone haha. But yeah great album, love Metallica. First metal band I ever listened too, my dad got me their Garage Days CD for Christmas when I was maybe 11
ya his voice is different but i love it on this album...people age and voices dont stay the same, im glad he evolved
Oh yeah? What about BEYOND MAGNETIC, hmm?? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqAPR7bUqHk[/ame] If you liked Death Magnetic, you will LOVE this. You'll thank me later.
i like Metallica as a thrash metal band. most black album songs, and everything afterwards are not thrash.
[quote name='"Broses"'] i like Metallica as a thrash metal band. most black album songs, and everything afterwards are not thrash.[/quote] Death magnetic is pretty thrashy dude,ya its different, but bands progress over time....why would you want to hear the exact same style from a band over and over again??
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oRO_zWs1is]Slayer - World Painted Blood [Full Album] - YouTube[/ame] newest slayer album, changed up the sound, its still fucking awesome thrash.
[quote name='"sk8njam"'] ya his voice is different but i love it on this album...people age and voices dont stay the same, im glad he evolved[/quote] Ya it's cool in a way because years of jamming have killed his voice. Kind of like a badge haha

I like the whole big 4 actually. Metallica, megadeth, slayer, and Anthrax. The epitome of thrash metal in the 80s and 90s
