Dear waitresses/waiters

  1. Over the years I've worked in many different kitchens and meet many different people. And some of the people I've meet are complete fucking idiots. Most of the being waitresses or waiters. And I'm not hating on all of them some of them are really cool people. But i'm talking of the ones that, whenever they take your order they talk to you like your an autistic chimp. Or just come into the kitchen to bitch about stupid shit, that half the time is there own fault. If you have ever worked in a kitchen you should know exactly what I'm talking about. Now I've always been back of the house so i guess my opinion is biased. And believe me there are also cooks and dishwasher that are complete idiots, but servers take the cake when it comes to not knowing what the fuck is going on. I will give the waiters/waitresses props for dealing with the public, especially in restaurants that shit would drive me nuts. All i want to know is there anybody out there that agrees with me?

Note: sorry for any spelling/ grammar errors I'm on my phone and im new so i tried my best. And if your a waiter/waitresses i don't mean to offended your, just saying my side of the story.

  2. Im a waitress but yeah some of the people ive worked with cant handle their shit but youre right cooks can be complete idiots especially some of the ones I work with

  3. Lmao. I would be one of those retarded waitresses that can't even get your order to come out right.
I tried it, once, and it lasted about 3 days.
    NOT MY FORTE, I SAY
    D:

it was probably a combination of not understanding the computer system
the girls not wanting to train me
and being completely socially retarded as well as so anxious the entire time i couldn't focus on anything.

  4. I would love a waitress job. I would rock it. I have excellent people skills when there is something in it for me, I have a great memory and I rock the multitasking. I have a feeling I would do very well $$$

  5. Only problem ive seen with cooks is that a lot of them are lazy. Because they feel that since they make the food they don't have to do any other shit that keeps a restaurant running. And that, at any given moment they are the most important person in the kitchen. Sorry for the excessive bitching people. My work just pisses me off, but now im sitting here with a fully packed bong right in front of me. So everything is just going to get better from here .

  6. Well then go for it, if you're good waitress and you're real with people you can make some good money. But I'm going to warn you working in a restaurant is hell, but a blast at the same time.

  7. Hahaha, like the retarded waitress that can only do one thing at a time; walks past your table five times while you're sitting there dying of thirst, but she has one other thing to do.

If I was a bar owner, I'd be pissed, 'cause it's wasted time when people could be sucking up expensive drinks instead of sitting there thirsty. But then again, many of the bar owners are dumb shits, just looking for easy money on an investment, and then they cry when they go broke.

  8. i've noticed in a lot of places cooks have it easy
    they can look like shit
    come in fucked up
    leave fucked up
    get fucked up
    listen to whatever music
    dick off
    etc

    sounds nice
if i didn't hate getting burned and splashed on maybe i'd do it

  9. I have worked every position in the restaurant/bar in different levels of dining.

Cooking can be hectic, I like working at a nicer place because you can cater the food better.

Dish washing sucks no matter where you go.

Being a host is weird because everyone thinks you are gay.

Bartending is fun, great way to get numbers and people tip well drunk.

Serving can get a bit hectic but it is easy to learn how to manage tables and keep everyone happy.

I do not expect to see the best or brightest working in food service.

  10. much rather be in the kitchen than a server

  11. Waiters and waitresses I feel have a unneccesary sense of entitlement. The people I used to work with made such big deals out of everything, especially this one cunt who thought she ran the damn place. I was a busboy so she talked to me like i was stupid which pissed me off, but also bitched at me all the time because I wasn't up her ass cleaning her tables for her and refilling drinks when i have my own fuckin job and shit to do

  12. isn't that like your own fucking job and shit?

  13. I'm a cook, and from my time in resturaunts, I have to say every position has a problem with other positions. Everyone thinks that they're the reason that the resturaunt is running. Its a stressfull job no matter what position you work. But I have been known to snap at a waitress or two. Cooking ain't as peaches and cream as they like to think it is.

  14. \

That' exactly what i mean. At the last job i worked at in a dinner, this one bitch was the exact same way.

  15. I bet you make a mean peaches and cream.

  16. Dude try bussing lol

  17. No, my job was to take dishes away, wrap food up for to go orders, and to wipe down tables and set them again for the next people to eat. I dont know if you were trying to be funny by mocking me, but it wasn't lol.

  18. I agree Op, i'm a cook and there's some that have been there for YEARS and are still lost!

  19. yup... but ive seen its everyone coming together as one for the customer. didnt mean to make it sound all glorified or whatever lol.

  20. I'm a waitress and I especially hate it when management hires new people. Most of them aren't cut out for it. I don't understand how it's so difficult to learn though, after a few days you should be good to go, not wondering around the kitchen like a bimbo.
