Please hire someone who can handle a forum. I understand you don't make a ton of money, despite your hundreds of thousands of members, and your online store. Despite these facts, you should maybe hire someone capable of handling your forums, since you have failed to do it time and time again. If you would like proof, just search "Grasscity down" on Google. The first, Yahoo Answers post, is a bunch of GC members, wondering what to do now that it's down again (3 months ago). Perhaps you should invest in some people that are capable of running your website. I notice your "Store" is working just fine. This leads me to believe that it is not your domain, clearly. And your forum software, is likely run internally, I assume. I am sure you have more than competent people running the store aspect of your site. Perhaps, you should invest in some of that quality of people, to run the forums as well. Perhaps, you should find someone who can design you unique software, to handle your workload. Because for a site with hundreds of thousands of members, and to default to 503 and 502 bad gateway errors, is amateur as fuck. When I was 11, I learned that "503" errors means maintanence. When I was 12, I learned that 503 means someone on that forum doesn't know what they are doing, and it's called "Maintanence". Please fix this. Thanks.

i wrote my own letter to grasscity too, dear grasscity, please be a little more compassionate, accepting, and generally genuinely kind..every single thread has atleast 2 or 3 people just spreading negative vibes, being rude...be more thankful that we even have the ability to communicate on such a broad spectrum. please be a little more easy, gc users. toke more, smile more, laugh a little more, its only a forum, yadidamean?

well dont look directly into it but still you get the point you want some cheese with that wine blade? c'mon dude this forum is a great place and we should all respect it--i know how frustrating it is when the city is down but that shouldnt make any difference. grasscity essentially taught me how to grow my own herb which in turn has taught me more about myself and all i have gotten along the way is encouragement, advice, and even some wisdom. i have met the most intelligent creative free thinking and friendly beings i have ever come across on the internets, you guys are awesome...its weird to think of any place on the internet as a home but GC definitely is just that also think your argument through: these forums are a free part of a business--a branch that does not directly provide it any income. you should never expect a business to go out of its way to better provide you with a free service. dont bite the hand that feeds, in the end that'll only cause you and us more problems not the hand.
I try to limit my criticism to "constructive" and not try to say anything that'll make someone feel bad about themselves...perhaps I'll indicate that they're a little more extrospective in one way or another though. Though, when stupid is stupid you point it out. You don't hammer it in, but you can call someone on being a dick without it being the end of the world. I do see a fair bit of abuse and answers specifically aimed at being unhelpful though, that's always a bit of a bitch. Shit like this thread though, I don't really like seeing. Do they have any clue how an unmoderated forum looks? Doubtful.

no, I don't care, I've never cared, you know that right? I only work with incompetent people, that is is my main policy, I like working with losers who don't know their are handling a server or a toaster, I really love spending tons of cash on a forum server and than don't have it functioning at all. Come on you know me, and then when we not had sleep all week, I just love some really wise people to give me some well deserved bashing......
