Dealing with migraines/ headaches and sinus pressure???

Discussion in 'General' started by Dat Fool, Mar 4, 2010.

  1. does anyone else have headaches very often
    migraines and sinus pressure
for hours and and sometimes all day?

i hate it when i wake up with a headache and have it till i fall asleep for the night,
and then occasionally still having it for a few hours the next day

currently don't have insurance, so a doctors visit is out of the question

what do you do to stop having these migraines???
these OTC decongestants and tylenol/ aspirin are just not cutting it any more:mad:

any help would be greatly appreciated:)

  2. Smoke weed?

  3. For me I like to put a cold wash cloth on my head and kick back and relax...and smoke a little of dat good good.

  4. I got a sinus infection right now. Sudafed helps a whole lot, you just gotta get the shit they keep behind the pharmacy counter, so it actually has pseudoephedrine in it. You can get a box of the off-brand kind at Wal-Mart for $3, so it's not too bad

Dude, I know exactly what you're talkin about. Sometimes I wake up with these gnarly headaches that make me wanna puke and I'll have it all day. This one time I had the same headache for 3 or 4 days, it sucked a donkeys ball sack. I kinda stopped using asprin or pain relievers, I just sorta deal, it sucks. I have been on a nice little run of getting a minor headache everyday now, if it's really bad weed doesn't help at all infact just makes it worse for me.

I dunno about the way your body deals with shit like this but for a sinus infection I just make saline drops and blow the shit up my nose. Fixes it right up, my doctor taught me that little trick cause I had a sinus infection for like a month, I didn't know that's what it was until I realized I had the same cold for 3 months.

I smoke blueberry kush and it does the trick. Also staying in a dark room and just sleeping will also do it if you have no weed. But a combo is a surefire way to get over a migraine.

  7. Yeah when I went to the doctor he gave me a bottle of saline and the antibiotics I needed (got an ear infection too, or else I wouldn't have gone to the doctor). The saline really does work well, but only after I've taken the Sudafed and my nose has a little bit of time to clear up. Can't get that saline up my nose when I'm stuffy, lol.

So yeah OP, look into some saline also. It's cheap as well.

  8. Just blaze.

  9. I feel ya man.. I get migraines all the time. I have been to specialists and tried about every migraine medicine out there, to no avail. The only thing that has ever worked for me is Excedrin, strangely enough.. I know it's just acetaminophen, aspirin and caffeine but I'll be damned if it doesn't do the trick. As long as I take them right when the first symptoms are noticeable, I'm usually alright. Probably not the same for most, but it's all I've found that works.

  10. when i was about 15- about 19 i got migranes literally about four days out of the week...and they lasted almost all day. it really can be a sign of some bad shit happening to ya....like tumors and whatnot, but the headaches are usually a little diffrent than migranes...but i can tell ya that doctors dont know shit about migranes and i wouldent recomend taking most things that a doctor perscribes. shrooms really helped me alot, look it up there are some studies that have been done and acutally the author of alice in wonderland (lewis caroll) ate mushrooms for cardiovascular headaches. Smokin herb usually helped me too. one good way to look for a migrane trigger that you may have is keep a journal about all the things you eat/do and try and find out if you have a diatary or behavioral trigger (chocloate is acutally common) but yeah i feel ya, im just glad that they pretty much have gone away for me now, im sure i get more headaches than the average joe but not nearly something to be taking medication for

  11. yea i got my medicaly license for severe chronic migrains + photophobia..which i assume means light sensitivity hahaha, but yea smoking weed helps, if you have your med card, call around and ask if any dispensaries have "headband" GET IT, its a OG Kush x Master Kush x Sour Diesel mix and it gets your head so high those headaches wont be able to find your skull up in space
