  1. all right my plant dies more each day i have a 400 watt mh i have tried so many differetn things putting the light on the side on top not waqtering it flushed it different hours of light never fert this thing just gets droopier and uglier everyday help before it is too late or could this be the pot size

  2. Hey newgrow, hopefully one of the grow mods will be on soon and can help you out. You might want to put your daily schedule as far as light times and such in this thread with as many details and possibly pics if you have them. It will make it easier for them to help you. :)

  3. yo uh i have it on 12/12 from 7am on 7pm off my 400 watt mh is 7 inches away with a fan blowing on it i will put pics as soon i download this disk for the camera to upload i water it once every two days anda yea how about that

  4. the light schedule you are using is for the flower stage the light you are using is best for the veg stage...i think you are over watering your plant you should wait for the soil to get dry befor you water....laters jay.

  5. yo uh i have a MH and a HPS which one would be better or is there another one that would work better

  6. MH is for vegging, HPS is for flowering and 7 inches is way too close.

Move it up atleast 3 feet from the top of the plants.

you want the MH on for 18 hours, 6 hours dark

and try to shoot for watering once a week. Do your pots have drain holes?

mine come with a built in saucer on the bottom that I can tilt to remove excess water

  7. i'd recommend watering when it's needed. some rooms are hotter or better ventilated than others and the plants might require more water. letting the soil stay dry for a few days could just lead to more problems.

  8. yeh right big phucking problems......so big you might have to add some water if the plant wilts....

come on help the guy out dont confuse him.......

  9. Are you flowering yet?

I would think you might be watering it too much. How big is your pot? If its pretty big, then the soil on the bottom is still moist when the soil on the surface becomes dry. If your plant is big enough, then its roots will reach down to the moist soil and watering it too often will cause root rot.

  10. yo i heard you could use both MH and HPS for flowering my MH is 400 watt and HPS is only 70 the pot is probaly 1 gallon i have a fan blowing dicertly on the light and bounces off onto the plant it has been in flowering since nov 16

  11. oh yea if it was three feet away wouldnt that make the plant grow towards the light i dont have to much room and which will work more for flower the 70 HPS or the MH 400 i just HEARD on this site that you could use both thanks

  12. Hi

yep you can use both if you want.......the best way to tell if your light is to close is to put your hand under the light at the same level as your plant if your hand gets hot then the light is to close.....get the idea....my 400w hps is about 1/2 a foot to a foot away from my plant...next dry your plant out...you will be able to leave it for a week...when it starts to wilt it is totaly dry....pick up the pot and make a mental note of the weight....next time you water the pot should be about the same weight.....get the idea...

  13. is that supposed to be a smartass comment? are you sure youre not the one confusing him?

Question: why let your plants go without water if it's needed?

you shouldnt be able to tell if your plant needs water by looking at it. i was repeating what i read on several grow guides.

  14. yes im sure its not me...

ive already coverd that....maybe you want to go back and read...

    is that should or shouldnt?????

Ah so your speaking from lots of experence then.....

  15. lol i think use of the quote feature should be limited.

anyway THC, i said shouldnt. maybe you should go back and read my post. i dont have to be too experienced to suggest the right way to water your plants. check soil, add water if needed. why would you do it any other way? my brothers plant gulped up several liters of water a week during flowering and needed to be watered a few times a week, and not everyone waters the same amount each time or has the same size plant or has the same growing conditions, but checking the soil can work for everyone. i've heard on several occasions and learned first hand not to under water or let your plant droop because it does slow the growing process. if you think that's too confusing to suggest to a newer grower, i apologize. the last thing i came to these forums to do was argue, especially with someone who is constantly helping other growers out, which is also the same thing i'm trying to do.

  16. Ok i think things have got a bit off track. Lol.. Anyway , i think i had a go at answering this when you first asked.. Have you checked your ph levels? Maybe you should try some ferting.. I agree that overwatering is worse than underwatering just for the record

  17. uhh everybody here talks about testing ph and things there would i purshace these strips at and what is the ideal ph level for flowering? thanks

  18. socki....im not here to argue...i would like to think im here giviving good info to people who need it........................................laters.... :smoking:

  19. yo thanks for all the hjelp and that nice little chart do i use the ph strips on the water before i water the plant. thanks

  20. Hahaha unlucky H.G. . Personaly i thought your post was dam useful.. Ahh well wot do i know eh.Lol.. Oh newgrow.. Them strips will test your water and give you a rough idea .. You would be better off with a proper soil tester0ho.. I got mine for ten english so theyre not exactly expensive
