Hey i just wanted to share some pics of my current. Its bagssed and from the looks of the leaves, indica. Not much has been given to her except small regular waterings. After transplanted into her current pot, i gave a small dose of molasses (1tsp/2liters) Earlier today i gave a VERY full 1gallon watering and gave some BigBloom with it (1.5tsp, still testing the waters before i jump right into the full 2tbls dose). I plan to LST, SCRoG (hence the four mounts on the sides of the pot) and fim once or twice. After another week and 4 days i plan to start giving GrowBig with the BigBloom micro nute. Probably continue w/ that for another week before switching to flowering. Wish me luck and please, please...lets hear some feedback!:yay:

  3. I forgot my light setup...:

    1x42w 65K CFL

I have 4x23w 27K for later. i actually can only fit 4x23w in my box so supplement lighting is available if need be towards later flowering.

im not a cfl grower but i do read alot about them and i think from my reading u should get atleast one more cfl light like u have

and i cant tell, is your light with in 4 inches of your baby

  5. ha yea i knew that was going to be a question.. the answer is no. the bulb itself actually hangs lower than the reflector. measured from the top of the seedling to the tip of the bulb is roughly 2 1/2". and yea i got more lights for when i switch to flowering (4x23w 27K). i may make the light switch a week or two before flowering depending on how much it vegs in the next couple weeks. I also plan on taking off the reflector when it gets a little bigger to let the light spread all throughout the box....or should i leave the reflector? I only have a reflector during veg.

  6. Yeah you should be okay for now using the one light but it wont be enough in about a week or so. You're probably going to get a second 42watt bulb or a couple of the 27watt ones you have. You can run a mixed spectrum. Put more daylight than softwhite to get a better chunk of the light spectrum for the girl

  7. id deff keep the reflector, its deff giving u extra lumens but also on the flip side ur prolly retaining alot more heat,

  8. I have the same concern as OG. How are the temps? Are you circulating the air in there well?

  9. hit it on the head my man! the reflector is creating more heat. luckily i have a very small box (dimensions: 6"x12"x21" depthxwidthxheight) so air circulation isnt bad. i have a 4" and a 6" fan mounted to the back of the box pulling the air out and a 4" intake fan bottom left corner mounted to the back as well, pushing air in. I still exp higher than comfortable temps around 82-85 when the door is shut and the ambient temps are around 70. It generally never gets above 82 though. also get down to 68F at night lights off. For the seedlings first couple days above ground i had the 42w cfl only about an inch away. This caused those early signs of heat stress with curling leaves. it has since gradually gotten better after raising the light a bit.

  10. Maybe point a fan up at the light so its flowing over it and in the dome to move the air before it gets too warm. I'd do what you can to lower the temps

  11. Temps:
    Day - 75-80F
    Night- 65ish-70ish
    (I do experience low-mid 80's on occasion)

My humidity is always low. like 20% usually except for at night its slightly better.

Air circulation has to be decent if not great. Small box and plenty of exhaust with a alright intake and fans are mounted w/ exhaust up, intake down.

  12. Do you have a fan blowing inside tho? Do the leaves of the plant move?

  13. yea cuz wind blowing on them gives them nice big stalks so they can support those nice heavy buds :)

  14. ive thought of that but didnt know if it would help much but the way you make it sound i gotta try it!

    In Progress...

  15. Plants like air movement because it takes the oxygen (waste) away from them and brings them fresh CO2 plus should help lower the temps inside the box. Plus like OG said, it will strengthen them

  16. funny you mention it cuz i have a 2 more 42w bulbs. one 27K and one 65K. i could go mixed spec or just throw another 65K in there. only reason i dont is because then it REALLY gets hot. although w/ this fan idea it could make it possible.

  17. not there yet but im ready! really im just ready for it to veg enough to reach the screen! and i still gotta fim and LST...:(

  18. yea i almost typed exactly wat u just said dize, i seen other cfl box growers throw there 4 cfl bloom bulbs in they always have heat probs so deff something u may wanna try and to mess with now and fix b4 it they get the flip

  19. i have a space heater w/ a fan option to blow on the plant anywhere from 4-18 hrs a day. but there is never a fan blowing on her at night. i cant wait for the seedling to grow big enough to take out the risers that are lifting her pot up. i feel w/o obstacles in the box air will flow even nicer.
