I have 2 c99 from female seeds here. The big one was topped, trained and force flowered when it was just 4-5 inches tall. I flowered it with another plant that ended up being male. Took male out and put it back in veg after topping. It had been on 12/12 for just a couple days but it started flowering anyway, but it reverted back to veg with no problem. Put into flower after pistils showed.

The little one was force flowered at 4 inches on the same day as the big one. Not topped or trained. Took like a day or two and pistils popped out. As you can see they look different and have different colors and smells. Both are being fed FF trio in FFOF. Cal mag for the last few feedings. Nothing else. Viparspectra 300 watt reflector series in a 2x4 tent. Humidity has been my only issue for the whole grow. Gets as high as 80 but there is a shitload of airflow and an extraction fan. No dew on the walls and everything looks nice and dry so IDK.

The little one had a fan fall on it a week ago and the fan was oscillating on the plant for god knows how long. Only a couple buds got bent over so I clipped them off. They actually grew back. So I could understand why the little one would be stunted and behind a little. But this big one has been treated so well and looks good imo. But to me, at 7 weeks on a 9 week strain, I thought they would look bigger. My runoff ph was at 4 but I don’t know if the nute solution color threw it off or something. Is that possible? My pH going in is always 6.5 ish.

I basically would like to know if they look to be on par with 7 weeks? Are they too small? How much longer would you estimate they have? Here are some progress pics. Thanks for reading.

  2. These are the same plants on day 13.

  3. Wow ok. 28 views. Thanks a mill.

  4. Dont worry, they are perfectly fine. I assume this is your 1st grow. You should not care about other growers. They are perfectly fine. Mine is at day 54 and not even close to harvest. Trichomes should give you an idea how mature are they.

  5. Looks to be on track. They’re a bit on the shorter side but you’re flowering with a blurple led and that can force the plants to stay a bit shorter than they would otherwise be.

  6. Ok thanks. I have a 40x loupe that I’ve tested already. I just hope it doesn’t take too much longer than the breeder recommendation.

  7. Yea they didn’t stretch that much. It was 7 inches high, topped and lst’d, before I switched it over and now it’s only 13 inches high. The little one grew into the classic Xmas tree shape. Wasn’t trained or anything. The little one is growing faster and looks to be a little further ahead even after the oscillating fan fell down on it for however long. No nanners though.

One more thing. My runoff ph came out at 4 so I bought some hydrated lime. It takes awhile to work and I’ve only got 2-3 more weeks (hopefully) of flower so should I even bother?

  8. If they were 7 inches high when you flipped that’s why they’re so short. It did pretty much double in height and that’s normal, you just switched it way too early imo.

  9. Also I wouldn’t worry about the ph too much soil tends to take care of that on its own

  10. Well like I said in the earlier post. The big one was just a seed that took longer to germ so it was behind the fire OG plant that was male. Then I had to revert it when OG plant went male. Do you think that plants that were put back in veg take longer to flower? Same thing with this little one. It germed late and was only 4 inches when switched over. I was hoping to do a staggered harvest, especially after I take that big cola off the little one. So should I expect a light yield for both plants?

  11. And I felt like I absolutely had to switch it at 7 inches because pistils showed. Was that the right thing to do? I thought you had to switch when preflowers showed.

  12. You don’t have to flip these plants at all. They can veg indefinitely. Your problem is the light, and lack of power. You have 8 sf and that requires 400 true watts. You have a 300 watt Chinese blurple led. It’s probably 130 watts max real watts and not true full spectrum. You can fatten buds by adding pk boosters during weeks 2-7 of flower and flush the last week

  13. Well it’s actually only 4 square ft. It’s a 2x2 and 4 ft high. That’s 4 square ft, right? I had two viparspectra 300 w in there but I felt it was a little too much. The plants didn’t really dig it lol.

Also, I don’t wanna reveg these I was just asking if you took a plant out of 12/12 and put it back in veg, would it take longer to flower once it was switched to 12/12?

One thing I’ve been wondering is do plants with lots of bud sites take longer to flower? This little one is ahead and the hairs are turning orange already. Very few orange hairs on the big ones buds. I believe I have two different phenos of the Cindy. One has the citrusy smell and the other one is skunky.

I’d say you have different phenos there too. Once you revert and it gets back to vegging like normal it should flower normally when you switch it back to flowering. I’d just ride this one out and learn from the mistake.

With photo period plants you can flower them whenever you like and with autos it happens without any changes you make.

Edit: and the number of bud sites has no effect on how long flowering takes unless you do a staggered harvest.

Edit 2: and that is 4 square feet 2, viparspectra 300’s would’ve been pretty good in there if you ask me as long as you keep them about a foot or 8-12 inches away from the plants. Some plants might need more distance though FYI, always start farther away and slowly get closer to see how the plant responds.

  15. No, you can veg photoperiod plants long after preflowers.

  16. Thanks a lot for all that info. You’ve helped me a lot.

  17. Well, with both lights I noticed fan leaf cupping at the top and it seemed to be growing slowly so I figured since it definitely wasn’t heat (temp was 75 ish) that it could be light intensity. But now that the runoff ph was 4 maybe that could’ve been the problem. With both light I had well over 50 w/square ft. Now I have 34. Do you think I could just throw the other light back in? One bonus of the second light was that it helped keep my always high humidity down.

Also, the light isn’t a viparspectra it’s a no name 300 watt that came with my tent. It has the RoHS so it might be alright lol.

  18. It’s extremely unlikely that there was too much light in there from 2 “300w” blurple led’s.

You could just use the one or both, up to you. More light gives better results though usually.

  19. You seem very knowledgeable so I will take your advice and put the second light in.

  20. I’ve done my research and have some experience, there are others with much more knowledge than I on here.
