My Med Gom Auto is 30 days old today. She is sitting in about 2.5 gal of Happy Frog FF with 30% perlite. Can i expect much more vertical growth in the next couple of weeks?
I suggest you try giving her some nitrogen for a few waterings that may help get a bit more height Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
Thanks! i have been giving her nutes which can nitrogen in them! You think that's enough or an exclusive nitrogen supplement would be better?
I found that the supplemental one added crazy growth to my plants along with the other nutrients, I slowed the supplemental nitrogen when they reached heavy flowering . If your plant is an auto some just dont hit that high growth spurt like others . These pics are the same strains same time Same nutrient schedule and different growth rates . It looks like you have a bit of cal/mag deficiency going on. Very important for growing cannabis. I would grab some for sure if I were you. I use it at every watering. And unfortunately at this stage of growth you're probably not gonna see a whole lot more. But hey there's always next time!! BTW, what type of light are you using? That's really important too
I have 4 6500K CFL's. Do you think it's possible that the lights are too close? I heard that can cause stunted growth Sent from my SM-G960U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Nah I don't see anything that resembles light burn. You can get cfl's really close, almost touching the plant. You can download a light meter app on your phone that measures in lux. It's not perfect but you want to shoot for 50 - 60,000 lux at the top of the plant. Also it would be helpful if you could add in a couple more bulbs of 2700k.
That's the reason your plant is so small. Insufficient lighting. Cfls suck ass because their penetration is horrible. They need to be as close to the plant as possible so dont move them away
Right now most people are going with led lighting right now. Either that or CMH (ceramic metal halide) but those put off quite a bit more heat. HLG makes a 135w and a 160w single quantum board that work well for small spaces. HLG = Horticulture Lighting Group. COB leds are something else to look at. You can also find cheaper Chinese made leds on Amazon but those are hit or miss.
