I've got four plants going right now, 2 Himalayan Gold, 1 White Widow and 1 Super Silver Haze, all from feminized seed. The two HG and the WW are doing great, after showing their first tentative budlets they look primed and ready to head into that explosive growth stage. But the SSH just refuses to show . . . anything. It's healthy, lush and vital, but it's almost like it refuses to leave vegetative stage. It's thirstier than the others, and I'm seeing a little bit of yellowing on the bottom leaves like it's looking for more nitrogen. On the plus side, it's definitely not showing any gonads either, so there's no need to chop it. Just wondering if the board has heard of this kind of thing before and if there's anything I should do (besides wait).
I had one do something similar. So I tried something crazy. I thought it was root locked. So I transplanted it and it grew and is currently a few weeks behind the others but it looks amazing since the move. Not sure if thats the answer for you. I was advised against moving it. I'm happy I did.
I've heard that SilverHaze (my favorite strain) sometimes just takes a while and is a slow grower. Either that, or leave it in dark for 13 hours instead of 12, and that might do the trick. I grew with my buddy one time and after switching to 12/12 the SilverHaze didnt start flowering for over three weeks, we almost gave up on it. Just be patient
I had the same issue with SH. It generally took 2 weeks are so longer to finish... Great smoke, but I dumped the strain because I'm on a tight schedule.
I did the same, SilverHaze is my favorite, but after Jack grew it and it took forever, we decided to find something that produces faster. I think if someone has the patience for it, they could get some incredible plants though
Well I waited patiently and the SSH rewarded me by popping out some gonads. GRRRRR! I've had a hell of a time with this strain, I've tried to germinate 6 or 7 on three separate grows, only about 1/2 of those popped, and this is the only one that made it to maturity - a dude. If winter wasn't approaching I'd be inclined to just throw them out the window and let nature have a try at it. On the bright side, my remaining three girls will gladly take over the space and light. It's getting crowded in my little room.
