hello as i stated in the topic my plant is 10 days old tonight and it looks how it does in the picture and I am worried about the yellowish color on the outside of the leaf.
What kind of soil is that? It is way too clumpy. Plus by the yellow/purple my guess is that it has fertilizer in it and is starting to burn the seedling. Get some better soil preferably something free of fertilizer.
its just potting soil. no mixture and it is not MG. I will be getting better soil tomorrow hopefully. could that be from the light being too close or hot?
well that all depends on the light setup. it might be too hot if you have a 1000 watt hps light 4 inches away from that one plant, opposed to having a 60 watt cfl 4 inches from the light. what light setup do you have?
plants not too hot, your soil is too hot (ferts) get fresh soil in a new pot, flush the shit out of the soil before you transplant into the newly leeched out soil or as SmknVTEC said get better soil, but they all contain ferts thsese days so flush the soil new soil anyways
Except for the foil, nice setup. Get mylar or paint the walls a flat white and you will reflect 20%-30% more light. Plants will obviously will be kept in small pots because that is a tiny space.
ya thats an old pic. Mylar is already in place. I just bought a bunch of new stuff from the garden store such as -Pete Moss -Mushroom Compost - Perilite -Dried Blood fert 12-0-0 -Other fert 4-2-2 honestly i forgot the name and it isnt in the house at the moment. my new medium is a soiless mix that consists of the following. 5 Parts Pete Moss 3 Parts Perilite 2 parts mushroom compost. After i finished mixing the medium I noticed how much more fluffier and how much more water the medium could hold now I am so glad that I got out of the potting soil ASAP!
