  1. I'm hoping somebody here can help me understand this better I just purchased a DaVita 1700e pro LED light with the adapter I'm trying to hook this up and I can only get it to work plugged directly into the light when I plug it into the adapter nothing happens.
I will only be running the one light standalone I do not have a controller other than a controller pro 69 from AC Infiniti which I'm currently running it through the uis adapter for on and off only.
I'm guessing I don't need the adapter unless I want to hook up a specific controller to control the dimming.
But according to the manual for the adapter it should work when hooked up to the light I will mention I do not have the dummy plug I don't know if that is the issue.

  2. I found this in their product info:

    External control
The Gavita Pro 1700e LED is dimmable and distributes broad, full-spectrum light anywhere from 50% to 100% while maintaining efficiency. Dim using the Gavita E-Series LED Adapter and Gavita EL Master Controller to create ideal lighting levels as needs change from veg to bloom for various crops throughout their growth cycles. The Gavita E-Series LED Adapter – 120-277 V (sold separately) is required for each fixture when using the controller; non-controlled fixtures simply operate at 100%. You can connect up to 500 – 1,000 LED fixtures, depending on the controller, using a setup with daisy-chained splitters.

sounds like you don’t need the adapter or their special controller for a single light when you plan to run at 100%
I think you’re good to go, operationally speaking. Light intensity on the plants you will have to manage the height of light fixture over the plants.
