Darones royal adventure

So after a little break I'm back to do another grow, quite excited this time!

So the title says it's a royal adventure because I'm going to be growing Kings Kush (OG Kush X Grape Ape) by Greenhouse seeds, I know a lot of people knock GH now for there quality but hey ho I'll only know if I try.

After soaking my rock wool cubes in Ph'd water with a root stimulator for 24 hours today I planted the seeds and put into a heated humdi dome

Hopefully in a few days they pop through so I can get them under the lights.

Anyway here are some stats on the grow;
Tent: 2m x 2m (43 Sq ft)
Refelctor: 4 x air cooled hoods
Lights: seedlings- 4 x 125w blue CFL
Veg- 4 x 600w mh
Flower- 4 x 600w hps
Exhaust fan: 8 inch inline with 870 m3 airflow
Intake fan: 6 inch centrifugal fan
Exhaust fan for air cooled lights: 8 inch centrifugal fan
Medium: RDWC 8 pot system with nutrient chiller
Nutrients: hydro grow a&b, hydro bloom a&b, root simulator, silicone, cal mag, pk booster
*Will also be using a scrog net with 2.5" squares

I will take some photos of the set up once plants have been transferred to grow space

Any comments or suggestions welcome

How was the seeds when you had them? I've heard some mixed reviews about them just been money hungry crappy breeders blah blah blah haha but I figured kings kush has been out for about 8 years now? So gotta be stable enough otherwise they wouldnt keep selling it lol

and ive actually got a super lemon haze free with the seeds as well as chemdog #4, super skunk, and white widow so might do something with them sometime soon

And I've not watched any vids of the strain hunters for a while think the last one I watched was where they was searching for Columbian gold or something like that

 

So after a little bit of jigging about in the grow tent and trying to figure out how best to ensure lights get adequate ventilation (best to blow air over lamps or pull air over lamps?) I've decided to do both.

So what I've got is 4 x 150mm air cooled hoods connected up in banks of 2 then tee' d together with the other bank of two and coupled to a 200mm (8inch) fan and on the air in side I've got the two banks tee' d together going to a 6 inch fan that will blow over the lights as the 8 inch is pulling air over the lights

Doing this as I don't think the 8inch alone will pull enough air over the hid lamps to keep the grow area cool and don't have enough space to put a 6inch fan either end of the 2 banks of lights

Hopefully this will eliminate the temperature issues I dealt with on the last grow

 

Seeds popped a few days ago and currently basking in a 125w cfl

This time I decided to pop them straight into rock wool cubes instead of germinating in some paper towel and then moving to rock wool cubes..... won't be doing it again because it made it a pain! Roots were growing upside down/ all tangled up within the cube

Not bad though considering they only got but in cubes a week ago

 

Hi guys so after having a look at my babies I've noticed that one has 3 cotlyedons and was wondering if I should bin it?


I'm doing a scrog on this grow so want everything growing sort of evenly and don't want this genetic mutation to grow faster/slower?
I've read on the internet that these almost always turn out to be male as well? (I do have feminised seeds though)

Anyway I've popped 10 seeds but only have 8 pots so 2 the two weakest are getting thrown regardless was just wondering if this 3 leaf beast should be one of them lol
