Dark period

  1. Just curious what happens to plants during the flowering period if the dark period is interripted and or there is any light leaks in the room? What physically happens to the plants and is the end result?

  2. leads to hermys and your females grow balls(bad times)

  3. Thanks.... and now I know :)

  4. It depends on how much light leaks and for how long. We use total darkness as the standard for indoor growing because it is possible to do that and the flower time is reduced, compared to an outdoor grow. Think about it, it's hardly ever pitch black outside. The moon, city lights, neighbors lights etc. Outdoor plants don't "hermy or grow balls", but it takes way longer to flower them outdoors.
If you just opened the door or turned on the light by mistake, that would cause very little stress. Going from 12/12 to 18/6 for a few days? That's a different story and what Natures Force said would be most likely be the outcome.
    Good luck on your grow!
