Dark green leaves during flower

  1. All these pictures I see online of nice looking buds towards the end of flower have dark green leaves, yet from what I understand N inhibits flower growth.

I tried it this time around by giving one of my plants slightly more nitrogen (all from same mother) and, lo and behold, 5 weeks in, it has smaller buds. So what the hell are these guys doing? Do some plants respond better to higher N during flower or is there any other reason someone might want to do this???

Since there probably isnt much exact science with regards to N affecting different strains during flower, does anybody have any experience with this?

  2. Well your plant should get a balanced diet if your using nutes specific for the stage of growing your in. Usually makers of nutes make it easy. I use Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow and Bloom. Use one set for Veg, Bloom for flowering. Then my supplements I use are specific for that stage of growth.
