This

It's starting to become unenjoyable for me. My highs now basically consist of a depressed quiet anxiety filled state. Thinking of quitting for a few years
I feel you, but dont blame the plant it is usually our underlying emotions that are being brought out 10x when we're stoned. Trust me on that.

2.
The only real danger, as Budbro93 said, is making certain mental disorders surface, like schizophrenia or chronic anxiety.
That is not true.

The only danger I can think of is getting bad bud that was not flush or stored properly. That can make you can verry sick. This happend to my buddy an his gf one but with swag. Theybhad bad chest pains an felt super sick for a day or to. They when to the hospital an the doctor said it was a type of mold thatt caused this I guess. I never had this but IV had badly cured but an that was verry harsh.

YOU are the ignorant one here, as much as I love mary jane myself, I can confirm HIS words. Marijuana will make u paranoid and schizophrenic in the long run. I have experienced myself a little bit paranoia, and I dont smoke alot.. but I have friends who have smoked for years, and even they confirm that marijuana WILL FUCK YOU UP in the long run. Please dont try to make mary jane look like a harmless plant, cause it is not! U have to use it in moderation and responsibly, otherwise sooner or later u will get mental disorders.
Its not the marijuana, its you, dont blame the plant. I also know people that have been smoking for years and have NO problems, my father for example.

5. You are wrong. Get the hell off of GC if you're not willing to educate yourself, you are not welcome here.

You need a pre-disposition to a mental disorder. That means, you need to BE BORN WITH IT OR DEVELOP IT BY MEANS OTHER THAN THE USAGE OF MARIJUANA.

6. sorry, i think i quoted you but i didn't mean you in directly. just, whoever was saying weed caused schizophrenia, lol

7. I'm not american, but if I may add..

RONPAUL2012 remove the charges of marijuana on your record!

8. Weed is good for you. Smoke is not. Some people are just irresponsible pussies that like to blame all their life problems on weed.

9. The only danger is getting caught IS by the fuzz and paying fines and possibly sitting in jail.

10. "Dangers Of Marijuana"
to put it simply- getting caught by cops is the only REAL danger:D

11. If you smoke you will die. If you don't. You will still die :p

12. I can think of a few, sorry i haven't read all 4 pages of text:

Getting caught by the cops / anyone of authority who has any sort of control over you. (Nobody on this earth should have control over anyone else btw, which is why society is fucked)

Being allergic to it and eating a shit ton of edibles.

Smoking moldy weed, that can give you a nasty lung infection, so i hear.

Otherwise, weed is a medicine, one i believe a lot more people should take every day. In the morning time.

13.
It makes life like adventure time and adventure time like porn
A-fucking-men. Adventure time is my shittttttt.

14. Say that to Chuck Norris.

Well theres more of dangers while smoking weed. Like addiction, smoking to get problems solved,...

15. I'll have what he's having please.

16. Spending all your money was the biggest danger for me :/

17.
Quoted the truth right here people.
That show is fuckin awesome! Its the funniest show ever when you're high

I see a lot of incorrect information in this thread. So I'm going to clear some of it up.

Smoking anything can eventually lead to emphysema. People will try to argue this, but smoke (of any kind) contains fine particulate matter. Fine particulate matter is one of several things known to cause emphysema. Thus, smoking enough of anything can potentially give you emphysema. Smoking MJ also increases your likelihood of getting bronchitis.

If you have certain heart problems, smoking could worsen them. It is thought that it could possibly cause some heart problems but there's not enough study in to it to say conclusively. If you have Long QT Syndrome, smoking weed can kill you.

It can be physically addicting for very heavy users. It used to be thought that MJ wasn't physically addictive, but newer studies are showing that it is, for some people.

Those are the major ones, anyway. There's some minor risks, but not anything to really worry about.

Someone said it can increase your risk of schizophrenia. That's not true. If you already have schizophrenia, it can bring it out - but it will not cause it in people who don't already have it. THC is known to worsen schizophrenic symptoms, but other cannabinoids, when isolated, are better at treating it than any of today's available pharmaceuticals.

Most of this is correct except...

While smoking anything does lead to those things - I must add that cannabis certainly doesn't have to be smoked. Vaping or Edibles are excellent. Not a necessary health effect.

I don't agree at all with the heart problems, all the studies I've seen have shown everything to the contrary. It lowers blood pressure, and speeds heart rate, but this is very unlikely to have any effect. But I'd be open if you have some studies.

Also, I very much disagree with physical addiction. Psychological addictions can manifest themselves in a more physical-like manner depending on how prone an individual is, but it doesn't make it a physical addiction. Those are very evident chemically.
