Damn not a single Ice Cube thread.

  1. His new CD is out today.

Any thoughts? I like the majority track 2-5 or something like that I'm not a big fan of.

ill probably check it out but the last album he came out with i only liked was "hood mentality".

the only song i heard from this album was "life in California" & i laughed where he tried to diss jay z , jay will crush that dude career in one line (if cube even still have a relevant rap career other then in cali).

  3. idk why he would go at jay, he has nothing to prove. he is a legend.

    my favorite cube track

I didn't like his last CD that much, but this is pretty dope CD.

    One of the singles is:

If you don't know what he means by drink the kool-aid then Wikipedia Jim Jones;)

  5. In my eyes hes one of the top 5 rappers of all time. And the whole jay diss is stupid, but i think Cube's career> Jay Z's or at least when he was in his prime.

  6. Epic picture I love that one:hello:

Agreed. I never got into Jay Z I listened to his older shit still didn't really like it. It goes back to on Biggie Smalls album I didn't like the 'I Love The Dough' verse he did.

Has anybody picked up this album?

  7. He's coming to Adelaide for a show next month, I think the first mixtape i ever heard as a kid was NWA (I'm not trolling with that comment, just saying hes one of the earliest rappers i heard)

I only have the cash to support local Aussie hiphop though.

  8. idk about j z i always thought he sucked...

  9. Yeah first time I heard Ice Cube was on Straight Outta Compton when I was probably about 12ish. I don't know if I'd go see him do a show, but I have damn near everyone of his albums, and I think he's the shit.

In his 40s or so and still putting out shit that easily tops 95% of music on the radio or whatever.

  10. I'm seeing him in Melbourne :hello:.

He basically carried NWA and Eazy-E to the top, writing all of Eazy's rhymes which is the reason I have next to no respect for Eazy as a musician but that's another arguement. His great work there alongside Amerikka's Most Wanted, Death Certificate and the highly underrated The Predator. He was truly the mack for so long, and then stupid Disney ruined my belief that he was the most real of all the dudes coming out of California in the early 90s.

    His NWA disses were brutal.

Although common managed to pretty well own him.

Definetly a lock in my top 5 of all time,
