Daily headaches

  1. Anyone else get headaches that don't seem to go away ?

    I have have a headache for months now and I am miserable, failed exams at uni and forced to take a gap year because I simply can't study. I fear I have a Tumour but my MRI scan came out clear. I have taken everything from tramadol to codeine to propananol to amytriptilyne without significant relief. Please if you are in the same situation let me know how you deal with it. Thanks
     
  2. Before I got my CPAP I had a headache for so long that I didn't know I had it until it want away. If your headache is interfering with sleep talk to your MD about getting a sleep study. Correcting my sleep disorder tops my list for best relief followed immediately by adding Omega-3 fats to my daily diet. Omega-3 fats epically as phospholipids are the stuff brains and nerves are made of. Because of this Omega-3 fats are important to maintaining healthy neuro-receptors like the CB-1 and CB-2 receptors necessary for cannabinoids to provide relief. Our bodies also convert Omega-3 fats into some important endocannabinoids through a pair of fats abbreviated DHA and EPA. If you want to supplement Omega-3 look for those two abbreviations. If you want food sources look at Hemp Seed products that have not been defated, Walnuts and Flax seed oils and meal.

  4. Cut out atleast 90% of your daily caffeine intake and STOP drinking them energy drinks if you are drinking them....Replace most of that with good ol filtered water. (I say filtered jus cause I do not drink tap water).



    Go to the store and get some OTC Migraine Advil and or Migraine Bayer. Make sure it says "MIGRAINE" on the bottle not just "headache".

    I take both but not at the say time. One day its 1 brand the other its the next and I always take atleast 3 at a time.

    I also take advil (reg ibuprophen) everyday and the migraine stuff only when needed just for the simple fact of not building a tolorence to the migraine meds when not needed.

    If they get really bad you should go see the doc and get some immitrex. They are a lil expensive if you are like me and cant afford to have insurance. But they are worth it and will force kill the migraine in abouyt 30 mins.

    Also when Im in a cluster period (which Im WAY over doo for) I make eddibles.

    I suffer from cluster headaches and this has helped me alot.

    Oh and if you drink alcohol....Stop drinking during this time as this and caffeine are big migraine triggers.

    Maybe try massage. It may be something as simple as muscle tension.

    I am a medical massage therapist and have helped a lot clients go without surgery for migraines ad chronic headaches. There are lots of muscles that attach near and around your head (frontalis, suboccipitals, levators, etc.) They are small and are easily weakened--which causes adhesions--then over contraction or extension. This causes the pain which can refer to countless different places. Try Massage or Acupuncture--if you adverse to needles try acupressure (form of massage). You may also look into Cranial-Sacral Therapy.

    I'd stay away from ingesting anything like Advil or other OTC pain killers. Something is not balanced in your body--adding harmful drugs will only mask your underlying issue. Find the source and treat that.

    As far as cannabinoids go--hit up CBC...it's a vasoconstrictor which helps with migraines by helping to restrict the amount of blood flow to and from the brain through the temporal artery. Migraines, although idiopathic, are often thought to be caused by too much blood around the brain and temporal artery.
