Hey all, my dads birthday is coming up and he's turning 50. Now it is just me and him that live together while the rest of our family lives far elsewhere. I want to make it special, but how can I make it special with just us living here? I'll invite his girlfriend over too. Any suggestions for gifts? My dad is pretty simple, he doesn't have any hobbies and just works a lot. .

He likes chillin at home and watching tv. Well go out sometimes but just to the movies. He's pretty busy I guess.

Get him something he could use. Real men like practical shit. Does he smoke cigarettes? Get him a cool zippo. Does he carry a knife? Get him a pocket knife or a swiss army tool. Just drive to work? How about a gadget for the car? Or a home brewery kit. Or a nice bag/briefcase to take to work. Or one of those things for the couch that holds the remote control. Or a season of a show he likes/would like. I should become a personal shopper.
