Dabs 3rd grow

How's it going GC. This journal is a late start as I'm already week 2 since flip to flower. The good thing is nothing has happened yet as far as flower development so it should be a decent ride. We can call today day 1 week 1 just for the sake of this journal even though I flipped new years. Doesnt matter to me lets do it.

Just to let you know up front, I'm open to any advice and dont be afraid to say something. With that said I am a hardheaded person so you just have to mind me sometimes. You may give solid advice I may not like but heed behind your back thats just who I am, so dont be shy. Im getting old. Gonna be 40 in a month
Anyhow lets get to the point.
1.Tent: 2 4×4×7 growneer/flower and ipower/veg
2.Lights: 2 Mars sp250 in flower/2 iplantop 183w blurple veg
3.Medium and pots: 2 Coco coir/ 1 soil both by black magic at home depot and 10 gallon fabric pots
Ventilation: AC infinity 4 with temp and humidity control for exhaust and the white one pictured further down in the thread for intake. Its 190cfm I believe. 1 honeywell floor fan and 4 tent pole fans for when needed. "4" dryer duct and a vivosun carbon filter.
4. Nutrients: Alternating right now between gh flora trio and home depots black magic a,b, and bloom. When flowers develop I switch to (no not instantly) floranova bloom and flower fuel with the random feeding of the masterblend pk booster. I feed everyday in coco and never flush unless its called for ie nute burn. My last grow I ph'd feed at 6.2 this one I'm trying 5.8 all the way thru to see the difference.

Whats growing: 2 gdp fem seeds from seed pharm out of BC that sprouted 11-20-19 and 1 fem gsc from growers chioce here in CA that sprouted the day before on 11-19-19. The gdps are 2 different phenos so lets call the larger one gdp1 and the smaller #2.
Dont even know where to start but here we go. I didnt even take pics when they were young because I had some other plants flowering but of the ones I do have are as follows:
1. 12-11-19 21 days from sprout gdp1
2. 12-20-19 1 month from sprout gdp1
3. 12-20-19 1 month from sprout gdp2 and gsc
4&5. 1-1-20 First day of flower and topped gdp1 top and side view
6. 1-8-20 gdp1
7. 1-9-20 gdp1 lst gdp 2 started flower
8. 1-9-20 gsc vegging for 4 more weeks

Quick 8 hr update on gpd1 after opening her up a little last night. Planning last defole on 1-14-20. Gonna need the experts to guide me thru which leaves to remove. Thanks guys.

 

Woke up this morning to low storage reservoir for nutes. Im using 2 rubbermaid roughneck 31 gallon cans, 1 for veg nutes, 1 for flower nutes. Each 1 has its on fountain pump with an oxygen pump. Stopped by the ag store on the way home and picked up a bottle of floranova grow for veg and tigerbloom for flower. I like to alternate nutes. Also found a surprise when I got home. A dehuey. My wife found it at the auction for $20. Anyhow I topped off with 15 gallons in each reservoir. Decided on floranova grow for this veg top off adding 15tsp of it and 10tsp of cal mag. Ph'd to 5.3 because I dont let the water sit out for 24hrs and my ph rises by about .6 when it finally settles which is a perfect 5.8-6.0. Surprised me to find the ppms above 1000 but thats nothing a little water cant dilute. In the flower res I used 10 tsp of tigerbloom, 5 tsp of black magic bloom boost and 5 tsp of flower fuel. Didnt have to ph because it stops right at 6.3. Ppm came at 430. Mixing veg and flower nutes at 50% puts me at 750ppm and 6.3 ph. Downed that to 5.8 and fed to gdp1 we'll see how she reacts. Removed a couple of soil draggers and opened up the gsc a bit. She was topped about 1 week ago and got too bushy.

 

Update: 2 months old from sprout today for the plants in flower tent. The largest plant gdp1 to the right in back is the second most mature even though it went into the tent first, so most likely will be harvested second behind gdp2 to the left in back. The gsc in front was just put into the flower tent on 1-16-20. 8 rooted clones in different stages in the veg tent. 2 have been rooted 1.5 weeks and 1 will be transplanted to a 3gallon and flowered on 2-1-20, with the next on 2-20-20. Perpetual well underway. Remaining 6 clones will veg until room opens up in the flower tent and will be staggered in as room is available. Thanks.

 

Update: Gdp1 has a 4×4 to herself plus 2 mars sp250s and trellis dropped on her as of yesterday. Snapped a cola and lost it and accidently supercropped another. Gdp2 and the gsc and one of gdp2 clones #1 now share the other 4×4 under blurples and a 70w led. I ordered a spider farmer 2000 from Amazon that will be here Thursday. It will be placed directly over gdp2 and the gsc in the center left in tent. The clone #1 will be flowered with 2 180w blurples wherever it fits. The other 4 rooted clones and some newer cut ones were put into a 2×4 which is more efficient than the 4×4 they got evicted from. Will update when the SF 2000 arrives and is hanging.

 

Update: The spider farmer 2000 and my ac infinity 4" exhaust fan came today. Set the 2000 24" above the tallest cola of gdp2 and about 36" from the gsc which just started to stretch. Impressed with the brightness and coverage. Gonna see how they compare to the mars 250s. Suffered bad light burn setting the gsc 18" from the sp250s in the other tent , she bleached bad on some leaves but all is well now. Plan on lowering light 1" per day until about 18" then I'll play it from there. Gdp1 under the mars 250s has really started to flower.

 

Few pics approx 1 month after the flip gdp1. Man time flies. Fell for the urge and bought the fox farm complete nute set minus the supplements. Been feeding gdp1 full strength since the first of Feb everyday at least twice dtw in coco. Gdp2 was fed ff this morning for the first time in soil. Gsc has barely showed preflowers today. Lost track of when it went in and dont care. Thats the fun of a perpetual. Added another clone from gdp2 to the flower tent just to fill the space and make room in the veg tent. 1 is in a 3 gallon the other in a 5. Experimenting to see if pot size really matters. Clone 1 is 16" and clone 2 is 10". 3 clones vegging and the others still rooting in veg tent. Their gonna have to veg 1.5 months minimum due to space which means more clones. Really didnt plan this well but Im dialing it in.

 

Didnt realize how much growth Ive had over the last 10 days until I was scrolling pics. Gdp1 first pic 1-28-19. Second pic 2-6-19. Fox farm nutes rock!

 

Forgot to add these to this journal. EnFun diy build samsung diode meanwell driver 240w led to replace blurples in the second 4×4. Got it on Amazon for $219+ taxes. Nice side by side companion to the sf2000 imo.

 

Just some pics to update the journal. Gdp2s top has been tied to the side to allow side buds to grow more. Killed all clones except 4. Had way too many for my space. Gdp1 is 7 weeks from the flip today and its just starting to bulk up and purple. It will be the only plant I continue cloning from this batch of plants. 3 of its clones are pictured below and also 1 of the gdp2 which is stuck between flowering and vegging. The siblings did the same but I threw them in flower immediately but this 1 I want to see if it grows big. The gsc is starting to flower at a good pace with tight node spacing and is about 2 weeks into flower. Too slow of a grower to continue growing next round. Pics are from a few days ago.

About the same if I'm honest. Maybe slightly less bright but nothing noticable. Definitely would recommend.

Bump

 

Harvested gdp1 today at day 63. A few parting shots. Cut stems and hung whole. A lot of nugs and a lot of larf. Will worry about trimming when it's time. Setup my 2×4 tent with an exhaust fan and carbon filter and small clip fan pointed to the ground. Will probably alternate days on and off. Also re_setup my veg tent and got 2 autos started from a mix pack from crop king seeds.
