cystolithic hairs or mold on stem

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by C_onethirtyseven, Aug 4, 2017.

  1. Hey y'all,
I bought my first USB microscope and popped some bud under it. I found these on the stems....for reference and lung health, are these cystolithic hairs or a white mold? Thanks in advance!

  2. When you're looking thru a microscope you can see some weird stuff. I've seen the same thing and wondered the same. Is that the only place you see this? If it's mold it'll grow fast, if it's not then it won't.

  3. Definitely cystolithic hairs aka non glandular trichomes. Mold/PWM is distinctly white almost like white dust or snow and you will know it when you see it!

  4. Thanks friends :) It's on the stem only. Fascinating little device.
