Cystic fibrosis or chronic pancreatitus

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by Foreu2env, Sep 10, 2005.

  1. When i was 13 i started getting really sick, to the point where i was in tears becasue of stomach pain. i wound up going to the hospital for it 3 times over 3 years before they figured out what it was. I have a mutated form of the Cystic Fibrosis gene, so basically i only suffer from some of the effects of the disease. Only 2 are noticeable , 1 in that i cant have kids, and 2 thati get chronic pancreatitus from it. It started once a year but by 2003 i was going in for a week at a time, every 3-4 months. I was missing a lot of work/school, it was putting me in debt w/ hospital bills etc.. well in 2004 i started smoking pot and now in the last 20 months i've been sick once, and its been 10 months since i've had an attack... the only thing thats changed in my life is the addition of weed So i'm wondering if maybe anyone has heard of it having this effect? I read an article about an English medical society putting out a study in regards to Crohns disease, saying that the THC was stimulating the stomach cells or something to regenerate/heal faster and it helped with their attacks... now a pancrease isn't related to Crohns but it made me wonder for sure ... ANy comments welcome, just wanna know what u all think before i decide if i wanna ask my specialist
P.S. i live in michigan so i dont think med marijuana is an option but like i said, curious.
