alright i have been growing this white widow max for a little over two months now and i have been flowering for a week. i have searched all over this site and on other forums too and cannot figure what is causing this. very early on in the grow some of the fan leaves starting curling down. this happened before i started giving the plant nutes. the leaf looks completely healthy besides the curling. this has still been continuing and there are always some leaves that curl. i took some pics from today that show the newer fan leaves curling too. WHAT IS DOING THIS!! it has been going on the entire grow. i have more info in my journal below in my sig. help me figure this out before i start my next grow!
I think its genetics. One of mine did the exact same thing but it started at sprout age. Still becoming a good plant just taking a bit longer than the rest...good luck bud.
I've had a few plants do this to me, different strains. My best guess is it's a little low on magnesium. Not enough to cause some defs, they may follow soon, but leaves can get a little droopy when the magnesium is low. Are you using RO or distilled water? If so then the calcium & magnesium levels (water hardness) are gone so some CalMag or epsom salts may help. This is just a guess, hopefully it's not too far off I saw this a lot with coco and the CalMag fixed it for me. Good luck!
i dont know what RO is, i have been using aquafina bottled water. also i had a aurora indica plant and some of the leaves were doing the same thing, so i dont think its genetics
RO = reverse osmosis water. Purified is basically the same thing, I would consider aquafina in that class, if I'm not mistaken that reads at about 0ppm. I would suggest supplementing with CalMag, MJ goes through a lot of it, especially when flowering starts.
I use 5ml/gal. I'm using coco coir instead of soil so I have to use CalMag every watering & feeding. You might try introducing weekly doses or every-other watering and monitor the progress. Plants use a lot during flowering so don't be too concerned about too much CalMag, like I say I give it every feeding, even before I start nutes. This may not be the specific cure but I think it might be, and either way CalMag is a good thing during flowering for soil.
