So I posted in the sticky, but haven't had any luck...hopefully someone can help me out. I'm having a problem with the tips of my leaves curling down (see picture). I flushed the plants a few days ago assuming it was a build up and/or lock out of nutrients, however the plants haven't seemed to respond to the flush. The plants are in roughly 1-2 gallon containers and I flushed with about 4-5 gallons of water. Currently in flowering Growing in soil (FF Ocean Forest and Light Warrior Mixture) Pulled off nutes (FF nutes) after flush Using 400w HPS w/ 2 4' Full Spectrum T5's (considering switching to warm temp bulbs) High humidity (50-60%, this also needs to be addressed, most likely via dehumidifier) Using ExHale CO2 Temps around 68-75 during the day and 63-70 at night Any ideas what my problem could be? Could this have anything to do with the high humidity (I feel like that would only encourage mold and not curl the leaf tips). Any information or guidance is greatly appreciated, thanks!
Most times when you see the "eagle claw", thats due to over feeding. Keep flushing with plain PH'd water. What strength were you feeding them?
If you are in Veg right now your humidity is fine. When you are in full flower you want to try and keep it lower, thats when you need to worry about mold. If you keep humidity around 30ish when flowering you will be fine. Back off the N, youre feeding those girls towards death.
Thanks for the responses. I had a feeling nutes were the problem, i believe i was at half strength, should i go quarter strength after flushing again (then waiting a week or two) before starting them on nutes again
Sorry didnt get back sooner. Yup flush them really good a couple times. Only WATER for at least a couple waterings. Once you see the new growth not clawing start feeding but very mildy.
Also, if you are using synthetic nutes you want to be very careful they burn plants very easy. Might want to try some organic feed which is much milder when it comes to burning/over feeding.
