Curing...

  1. Well i have read many guides suggested on this site and also from search engines. But the thing is i dont understand curing. I get that curing is suppose to make the bud smoother and better(like better smoke) but i dont understand the process.

After i dry the bud for about 2-3 weeks...what am i suppose to do. All i know is im suppose to put it in a jar or like a bag that is airless. What should i do after that?

Also, what does it mean to flush?

    :) thanks for the help...

  2. i think flushing is jus watering the plant without any ferts for a while until u harvest it. not sure tho :)

  3. i think you just leave it in the jar for like 3 months or something, opening it up once in a while to breathe

  4. OperationIvy is right to cure the bud that has already been dryed by hanging for a week or so you just put them in canning jars or air tight tupperware. Even after they are dryed on the outside there is still moisture on the inner parts of the bud and shit still is flowing from stem to bud at this point. Just pop open the tops of the storing container for like an hour a day, and after a week or so just leave the jars in the fridge. The most optimal amount of time to cure is two months. take er easy.

  5. the jar has to be air tight, but does it have to be vacuumed so no air is in the jar?

  6. Yeah what you do if you have been using fertilizer is called flushing the soil. You do this a few weeks before you harvest. You just pertty much do is wash the soil and get rid of all the fertilizer and if you dont do this if the bud does have fertelizer it will produce a very harsh shitty smoke. And no one wants that am i right?

Well good luck. I hope it turns out allright.[IMG]
