Curing

  1. After harvesting and drying my grow and putting the buds into jars to cure I get a pretty wide range of moisture content. My last harvest was dried a little too long and was at 50% on day one. I used an old hippy technique to bring moisture back into stale tobacco by adding slices of apple into the jars. That worked great and they are now in the mid 60% range, perfect. My current harvest after drying and in the jars to cure is at 66%. I think I dried that out a little bit too much also but it seems to be within "spec". About how dry should I allow my harvst to get before I begin to curing it? What should the humidity in the jar on day one of curing? It's at 66% now so I guess I'll burp it down to about 60%, yes? Burp? - don't burp? - Thanks

  2. personal preference IMO. I like mine at 40%
