Discussion in 'Harvesting and Processing Marijuana' started by chronixx24, Aug 13, 2014.

  1. Hey guys. Im drying my budz now but where i come from its always 30 degrees celcius... i read alot about the bud curing on this site and i read that its the best to do it in a cool place. So i was wondering if it would be better for me to cure them in the fridge? I have them in a fully sealt jar.

  2. Anyone? I also had this same thought !!! It seams like a good ideal!!

  3. There's a lot of moisture in your fridge, which will no doubt seap into your mason jar.

Unless your humidity is higher in your house than your fridge id put them in a cupboard, under a bed or in a basement.

why not just put them in a cupboard somewhere in the basement? it may be 30 degrees outside doesn't mean that will be the temp in a dark cupboard.

it doesn't need to be COLD, just not in direct heat and away from the sun.

personally i wouldn't put it in the fridge, i don't know if its good or not though.

  5. This will slow the curing process and could lead to mold. I would put your jars under your bed or in a closet. Good Luck.

  6. What we mean by a cool place is a place that not hot like direct sunlight or a heater vent. I put my sealed jars in the top shelf of my closet where it is DARK. Room temps for 3 months and I got me some dankity dank weed.

  7. Yeah,, I Tried It Bro,, It Slows Down A lot.. Kept It In The Fridge For A Week And I Was Wondering Why The Cure Wasn't Progressing And It Started To Mold The Strain Was Girl Scout Cookies..

Don't Cure Your Buds In The Refridgerator.!

  9. I have same issue.  The COLDEST place in my house is 80 degrees and below 20% humidity.  Buds are brittle in less than 24 hours while stems are still wet.  So, for me it's 24-36 hours hanging.  Then into the jars, to remoisten, then several hours a day of venting from there on to prevent mold.

  10. Hmmm. I think thats wayyy to fast, it need to be a slow process for a nice burn and taste. If i was you i would put a bucket of water in your drying room sk you get a higher humidity so it will dry slower.
