So I'm doing essays for grad school scholarships and I need some creative help. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be? Everywhere I can think of is generic and shitty haha..anyone have some interesting ideas
I have been to most of the places I’ve wanted to visit, and called many home for a time. Life is too short for wishing. But... There is a spot on a beach on the opposite side of the world, where the jellyfish glow under the starlit sky and the waves are always warm. There is a bottle planted under a massive mango tree that stopped giving fruit a hundred years ago. In that bottle, there are 3 cannabis seeds. I would like to return and plant them one day before I die. It's always nice to have something to look forward to. Peace.
Socotra island (google it), machu pichu would be incredible, and climbing up Angel Falls. That's on my list at least
I would travel to Spain and learn of the conquistadors! Spanish history is very underrated because it's very interesting! There were many wars and prophecies and discoverers of hidden lands.
The birthplace of the theory of evolution. I would go there and try to imagine what went through Charles Darwin's mind when he explored it hundreds of years ago.
The Galapagos Islands were pretty incredible. I went there 6-7 years ago, and it was truly an amazing experience. But tourism is also heavily regulated, so there's no freedom to really "travel" there. You have to go as part of a packaged tour, and there is really no other choice. India and Southeast Asia are my favorite parts of the world. Vietnam is the most beautiful country I've ever traveled to, Cambodia has the nicest people, and Indonesia just blew my mind. If I had to choose a part of the world where I haven't traveled much, it would be the middle east. I've been to Syria and Egypt, but I didn't spend nearly enough time in either country and I would love to see more of that region.
The best cities I've visited would have to be London and Toronto. I also went to Belize once, and that was absolutely gorgeous... I'd love to see Thailand, Austrailia, and a whole slew of other places as well as everywhere mentioned above. Can't wait to be done with school and travel!
Agreed. I think that South America is underrated. It has some of the most exotic animals and extensive nature, all sorts of environments. Trekking through places like Bolivia and Brazil would be unreal.
