I recently cut down a stunted auto but I thought it would be a bit of a waste to throw the stump and roots out but then I remembered reading an article about a rooting hormone made from cut roots. So I washed of the roots rinsed them gently in tap water and then cut them up over a bucket. After that I added clonex rooting solution only a small amount and also added seaweed extract then i added some dechlorinated tap water and a pump and let it sit. Something important to know is that I use both clonex solution and seaweed extract in my dwc res and have used it regularly for foliar feeding. After 3 days i placed the mix in a spray bottle and sprayed heres the results: Still reading? Cool heres what I understand for the science bits of this. When a live root is cut it releases a hormone that tells the plant to make more roots so by cutting fresh roots the roots will still try to make the hormone for a short time then once a live plant has been exposed to this it will think its roots are being damaged and create more/thicker/longer roots. Did you spray the clonex/chopped up root water onto the roots or the foliage? Could you use a food processor or blender to blend some Clonex and roots into more a of liquid and use that in and around the root mass in transplanting outdoors in soil as well? Just some ideas. I'm always looking for ways to increase my clone success rate because I clone everything I can (just cloned some roses and Roma tomatoes)
I sprayed on foliage but watering works too it would be better blended but I dont have a blender Sent from my SM-G925P using Grasscity Forum mobile app
