gotta say man, you should learn how to make stuff without using filters. Your work gets a whole lot better when you do it all yourself.
didn't use a filter-- i created a whole pic then put the bottom right in the top left and the top left in the bottom right and vice versa on the other side then inverted it----learn what your talking about before beoming and expert
funny, i recreated what you made in 5 minutes using one preset brush and a single filter (offset). Odd how I am knowledgable on this subject, I've only worked with digital painting programs for 7 years and then went to school for it. I'm trying to help you expand your art. just because you are creating it on the computer, doesn't mean that all the rules of aesthetics don't apply. Your piece lacks rhythm, there is no central focus to the piece with it being split up into 4 sections, the colors don't work well. Some of your other pieces were getting good, but it appears you don't exactly know what your are doing or why sometimes a piece works or not. I'd read up on the fundamentals of design and color theory if you wish to continue such abstract artworks. I don't mean to be harsh, but that would be my honest critique.... and some might wonder why i keep my mouth shut on other's art threads.... But unfortunately, this isn't an art forum. You will only get positive but otherwise worthless comments by overly nice stoners here. nothing wrong with that except you wont get better. If some of you want to check out kickass digital artwork, I suggest looking on http://forums.sijun.com/index.php
well its funny how you say you recreated this because i am using photoshop 6.0 and my offset filter cannot produce that effect---i also checked out that site and I don't know i book marked it but i didn't like much of the work i saw even though i looked quick---i will look more later though. what version of photoshop has that offset filter maybe its about time i upgrade
