So I just went to go check on my germinating seeds, and one of them appears to have a cut looking crack going along the side of it, its a very smooth crack not jagged or anything, the seeds are also VERY small. Is this normal? I don't remember seeing the crack when I started germinating them. If it is the root, its comming out of the side of the seed, is that ok? I'm in such a panic right now lol first grow ever.
I just germinated my first set of seeds a couple of days ago and they started with a crack in the seed case too. After that a white root tip will come out of the crack.
thats probably a good sign if one started that fast. good luck! but yeah it is normal. You'll see the tap root come out of that crack soon (it will be white). and you plant this going down in the soil.
