cpu fans at radio shack...

    i was looking at a 12v cpu fan at radio shack. how could i power it? i saw a 12 v adaptor and i was wondering if i could slice it and wrap the wires of the two together...any advice would be appreciated...

    Yea, you can do that. Make sure you insulate the connections though. Wire nuts are good... or electrical tape will do.

    kool...should i leave the fan on at all times or put it on some type of timer?

    I'm going to say that all depends how much air you want to give your plants. If heat is a constant problem because of lighting, I'd say leave them on most of the time.

    hey, i currently run a 12v fan, and i run it 24/7. All i did was strip the wires from the fan and the wires of a 12v ericsen cell phone charger. then i just spliced them together and electrical taped the connections. how much was the cpu fan at radio shack?
